Slay the Spire is a great video game. Granted, a rogue-like deck builder doesn't sound too appealing written down, but in practice, it's a fantastic, addictive title that's all about synergies, finding that golden combo of cards that allows you to flatten enemies. Throw in randomly generated elements and you have a game you can play countless times over. If you think this sounds better as a board game, you're in luck: the title is being converted into a physical tabletop game.
Slay the Spire: The Board Game is in the works at Contention Games, a team that previously made Imperium: The Contention. Interestingly, the physical adaptation will be a co-op game for up to four players, whereas the video game is purely a single player experience. "Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and finally become strong enough to Slay the Spire," reads the description on the developer's website. Presumably it will include all the elements from the original, though we're not entirely sure how it will all translate to a cooperative setup.
The board game will be hitting Kickstarter in Spring 2021, when there will be lots more info to check out. Do you like the sound of a Slay the Spire board game? Play your cards right in the comments section below.

How about a game review then.?
😊 Does not have to a new release game right? 🤔
While I love this game, the possible price worries me. Similar to the Horizon: Zero Dawn board game, the asking point of $99 U.S. dollars was just too steep for me.
I too love this game, but am wary of recommending it as it's grossly addictive. I'm not sure how a board game could handle all the modifiers that can be in play at any point of the game, from Power cards, enemy debuffs, Curses, Relics, etc. It would be extremely tedious to manually calculate all that for every card played.
FYI, I believe the PS4 version is part of the holiday sale right now if anyone is interested. I have not played the game but I am considering it. Heard good things!
This is a great game but my god is it difficult lol. Idk if I'm just playing wrong but I REALLY had to gut out getting to even the 3rd level.
