Update: The PlayStation Store on PS5 now has its own section for today's Black Friday sale. Scroll down to the Featured category and it'll be there waiting for you. Both PS5 and PS4 games are listed.
Original story: The very first PS Store sale of the PlayStation 5 generation has arrived, celebrating Black Friday with a surprising amount of deals on PS5 games. Those are fairly easy to find, you just need to select All PS5 Games inside the store. But what about PlayStation 4 games? There are some good discounts for The Last of Us: Part II and Ghost of Tsushima, after all. Well, it's a bit of a free-for-all at the moment. That's because the PlayStation Store on PS5 currently doesn't have a Deals section where every title is listed.
As such, you'd first need to know that the sale even exists. And secondly, you would then need to individually search for every PS4 game you're interested in purchasing. That's a pretty poor way of doing things, isn't it? The strangest thing of all though is that a Deals section actually was available during the PS5 review process, but it was removed just prior to the US launch. Therefore, we're confident that a patch isn't too far away that'll add the section back into the PS Store. For now, though, it looks like you'll have to search for the games you want to buy.
Have you been having trouble finding PS4 games part of the new Black Friday sale? Let us know in the comments below.

Yeah as soon as I read the sale article I went to the store on PS5 and...I couldn't find the deals lol
There is still many things to iron out.
Should be an easy tab to add without any patching or firmware updates. I get the impression they can update this PS Store like it's a web page.
Hopefully they add it back soon.
The new store is slow to load on pc (using chrome), and I still don't see wishlist on the store (on the ios app and mobile & pc website).
Did notice the lack of a sales section in the ps5 store yesterday. One would think it is in the interest of Sony to promote sales, especially during a console launch, where people tend to overbuy games on impulse. But what do I know...
I also noticed that the Serious Sam Collection couldn't be found anywhere on the PS5's store or on the mobile app. Seems they still got some kinks to work out.
Just get yourself HotDealsUK and set some alerts. Easy.
And here I am with the digital edition... it just looks soooo good! Already missing out on targets & Amazon “buy 2 get 1 free” deal
At least it has a wish list, and I can just look for which of my wish list games are on sale!
Edit: lots of them were
Its just a feature celebrating Playstation's lore filled history. They call this one the Vita throwback.
Yeah basically you have to sort by popularity and hope PS4 players are buying things on sale. A bit silly and a lack of foresight really on Sony's part.
Then again using the app is very easy and is sorted really well, even including a section that shows which games will include a PS5 upgrade
Given we are in a launch season and black Friday season, I wonder how much revenue they are losing on their ps5 customer base with this deals section not visible. I reckon they should fix it asap for themselves more than us. Not all of us use apps, browsers, etc.
yes, it's stupid, let me buy games
I knew that the sale comes on today.
Im expecting either Kingdom hearts : Melody of memory to be on sale, Miles Morales and the Battle Pass Edition to Warfare!
So excited to see the sale!!
@psnfan123 What? Two of those games literally just came out?
Must say that digging thru deals (or whole store at all) on mobile is one huge mess. Nameless repeating icons or microtext on them... It is rather Logo Quiz game.
Meantime just how long do they plan on taking to add any filters &/or extra categories to the web store? Its quicker to fire up the ps4 & browse via it's app than to wade through it on PC anymore! (And actually see screenshots/trailers).
@psnfan123 I wouldn’t get your hopes up at all for Miles Morales or KH going on sale now as that would just be bad business for Sony and cause a flood of people complaining and asking for refunds after having just paid full price. Maybe Christmas/Boxing Day at the earliest
