Look, Vergil might be one of the biggest posers in gaming, but damn does he look fun to play in Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition. With the game launching this week on PS5, Capcom's wheeled out the title's launch trailer — and it's everything you'd expect.
The music. The combos. Vergil's smug grin. It also throws in some action from Nero, V, and Dante for good measure. If you've already played Devil May Cry 5 then most of this footage won't be anything new, but this trailer still brings the hype. We're really looking forward to blasting through the story all over again.

This is far from the kind of game I'd care about having ray tracing for, especially since it's only ever really showcased in the opening stage with all the puddles, but 120fps is a massive plus and LDK mode basically being Devil May Musou sounds fun as hell
It still puzzles me that SE isn't coming to PC like literally every previous SE in the classic series but I'm still going to get this on PS5.
Man, Bury the Light is such an awesome theme.
Very spoilerific for anyone who hasn't played the base game lol, but an enjoyable trailer nonetheless.
@Athrum It really is. I've been listening to that song non stop since it dropped on Spotify
@TheFrenchiestFry The Ray tracing I think will look incredible, is too bad that is stuck with 30fps so I probably won't experience it although I might take a peak. 4K 60fps is just perfect although I would try 120 if I had the set.
@TheFrenchiestFry I’m gonna use 1080 60FPS ray tracing since I don’t have a 4K TV. Options like these are making me think I may as well not grab a 4K TV honestly.
That world shattering effect on that big move from Vergil looks so unreasonably cool.
Weird we have to wait till Dec for a physical lol
Still. Keen af! 120 fps for SMOOOOOOTH and responsive
It's full of spoilers, I had to stop at half the trailers. I wish I didn't watch it, I bought the base game but still haven't played it 😞
I want the 1080p 60 fps mode with RT but I didn't want to buy it full price since I already have the base game on ps4, wish there's upgrade path for this game.
So good to see Daniel Southworth, the Quantum Ranger from Power Rangers Time Force, return to video games as a playable character! (since possibly DMC 4 SE). I'M MOTIVATED.
DMC reboot was so good and cool.
This looks.. I dont even know
@Mona_Lott - Agree 100%, DMC5 is the dullest game since 2. I will say the game has some of the most fluid combat animations I've ever seen in a hack/slash but my god it's an awful game and that's coming from a DMC fanboy!
@Mona_Lott @Shigurui I found the gameplay fun on DmC the rest was utter garbage. Especially the main characters where horrible.
@Flaming_Kaiser - I definitely agree that Vergil was an absolute tool and Kat wasn't much better but Dante grew on me and by the end of the game I really liked him.
@Shigurui Im happy they killed the series. For me personally i didn't like Dante especially his first look when he looked like the lead at Ninja Theory. Im happy that they are back at their Japanese wacky *****. One small thing with the series they made Lady and Trish was too over the top with their boobs at DMC 4 that was my only small thing but they fixed that at Devil may Cry 5.
@Flaming_Kaiser - Have to disagree with you about Lady and Trish. The DMC5 versions are just awful, they look like a pair of crackheads waiting for their welfare check to arrive. Absolutely horrible character designs.
@Shigurui I liked the Devil may Cry 3 Trish and Lady the best.
@Flaming_Kaiser - I think both of their 3 and 4 versions are good. Trish in 3 and Lady in 4 are probably the ones I like most. Trish as Gloria in 4 was pretty good. Any of them are preferable to the DMC5 skank versions.
@Shigurui They look quite normal in a demon invested world in the latest game. I find it in DMC 4 a little overdone with the boobs but that me.
