Snagging a PlayStation 5 is particularly difficult right now, but there was promise of new PS5 stock at UK retailer Currys PC World today. Those systems were scheduled to go on sale at 9AM GMT, but many were able to get the jump and order as early as 5:30AM GMT. Unfortunately, the retailer has since refunded those sales, and cancelled its plans to sell any further systems today.
“There will be no PS5s available to buy today,” the company said. “We know that this is disappointing news, and we are working super hard to get more stock. Please check our social channels for further updates on availability.” In a previous, and now-deleted Tweet, the retailer blamed a system error for the stock going live earlier than intended.
We’ll keep you abreast of any PS5 stock availability through the link, and we wish you all the best if you’re still trying to secure a system wherever you are in the world.

Thanks for keeping me abreast!
GAME Still taking orders.....
@Number09 in that queue. Been in it ages and still says over an hour waiting time. Tried amazon but the stock sold out in like two minutes
I managed to snag one from Amazon, and I'm absolutely psyched for tomorrow!
@Dislecksier nice! Good for you.
What is really going on here: is demand as ridiculously high as the headlines say, or is a constrained supply network the main factor in play?
@Atreus97 both
@Atreus97 Both.
The market for video games in a pandemic is the highest it has ever been. On top of that, supply issues are problem for the same reason.
@Atreus97 I think Sony said they were preparing something like 4 million for release day, which is more than they've ever prepared before.
@KippDynamite for release day or for the first couple of months?
@naruball
Reports vary, but about 4-5 million for launch day and another 4-5 million by the end of the year.
@KippDynamite Well, it'd be amazing if it turns out to be the former.
