Unless you're invested in the uber-popular League of Legends, you might've forgotten all about Ruined King: A League of Legends Story. Announced nearly a year ago during 2019's Game Awards, this game sees Riot Games starting to broaden the franchise's reach beyond its MOBA roots.

Today, Riot has announced this new title will be arriving in early 2021, and it's coming to both PlayStation 5 and PS4. The next-gen version will release later than the PS4 version, but you'll be able to upgrade for free.

Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a single player, turn-based RPG developed by Airship Syndicate, the team behind Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Darksiders Genesis. Set after the events of Burning Tides, it'll have you exploring two key areas of Runeterra: Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles. You'll form a party with several well-known LoL characters, such as Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke.

The game marks the debut of the League of Legends franchise on consoles, published under the new label Riot Forge. More information about the game is due in December, presumably during this year's Game Awards, so keep an eye out for new details soon. What do you think of Ruined King?
