The PlayStation 4 generation saw a real boom in cutesy takes on simulating all facets of life, with Stardew Valley probably being the best and most successful example. My Time at Portia was another that did pretty well for itself, to the point where it has spawned a sequel coming to both PlayStation 5 and PS4 in 2022. My Time at Sandrock is its name, and while this is being described as a complete follow-up, the game will share a lot of elements with the original.
The experience will once again revolve around digging, harvesting, scavenging, cooking, and battling with new creatures to meet and much more interactive NPCs. My Time at Sandrock will feature the same universe and timeline as Pathea Games' previous effort, so this appears to be more of an iterative sequel rather than a complete overhaul.
We awarded My Time at Portia a 7/10 in the Push Square review, so let's hope the next entry is even better. Are you looking forward to more farming on PS5? Let us know in the comments below.

I am looking forward to this, as long as its not as horribly broken as My Time At Portia was on the consoles at launch.
I enjoyed Portia, but for me it strayed the wrong side of the grinding line once you get a fair way into it. In other words, too much combining A into B into C, waiting x hours, then using another machine with other random stuff like above, all to make one item. Unlike games such as stardew it just wasn't fun at that point. Plus, always felt a bit janky to play even disregarding crashes.
And 2022 huh? Can't even think that far ahead with all that's coming out between now and then, plus backlog.
The 1st was a very good game one of my favorites happy to see another ..........I hope they do like Dark Cloud did when they bettered it in Dark Chronicle.
Well, didn’t know about the first one. Looks good though. Main complaint seems to be loading times, so I’ll get a cheap copy to play back compat on ps5 I guess, then see if I like it enough to get the sequel
@Number09 We need a new game of those.
@Flaming_Kaiser Would love that to happen.
