Developer Arc System Works has published a new FAQ article on Guilty Gear Strive, addressing a whole load of queries about the upcoming fighter. The big news here is that if you buy Strive on PS4, you'll be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free. All of your purchased DLC will work as well, as long as you're using the same PlayStation account on both consoles.
What's more, the FAQ confirms that cross-play between PS4 and PS5 is planned, meaning that players on either system will be able to match up with one another. Neat.
As for differences in performance between the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, the PS5 version will obviously benefit from running on better hardware. The FAQ stresses that Strive will feature the same content on both platforms, but the next-gen edition will boast a higher resolution and shorter load times.
Guilty Gear Strive is due to launch in April 2021, but will you be bursting against your rivals next year? Give us a sick guitar riff in the comments section below.

The Guilty Gear games are the best looking fighting games on PS4. The art style and characters are all over the top. I'm looking forward to this one!
If the Xrd games are any indication this is going to be extremely satisfying to play. I always preferred GG over BlazBlue in terms of ArcSys fighters personally
Very good, they just have 6 months to tidy up the ui,then I am reving to go.
