Sony's partnership with the world's biggest first-person shooter franchise will continue with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War as the latest iteration grants PlayStation players exclusive access to a new Zombies mode. Fittingly titled Zombies Onslaught, it will be available at launch on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 and remains exclusive through until the month of November 2021. As the trailer above details, this looks to be a sort of Horde mode set on multiplayer maps.

Exclusive rewards will be handed out to the best of the best as waves of zombies test your skills with an ever-increasing difficulty in two-player co-op. Miami, Satellite, and Crossroads all feature as maps in the currently revealed footage, so you can be sure those three will be part of Zombies Onslaught at the very least when the game launches. There will be undead versions of dogs and special zombie types to take down too as you progress.

The mode follows in the footsteps of Survival Mode, which remained exclusive to PS4 for a year as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. It too was a wave-based Horde mode and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will ship with a similar offering next month. Just, you know, they're zombies instead of humans. Have you been a fan of these modes in the past and are looking forward to playing another on 13th November 2020? Survive the horde in the comments below.
