A good ol’ gaming session isn’t the same without a big bag of Doritos to hand, but getting all that icky dust encrusted into your controller is never fun. To make matters worse, the PlayStation 5’s luxurious new DualSense pad comes in white by default; that’s going to turn a subtle shade of orange if you try to scoff while working your way through your favourite games.
Fortunately, there’s an officially licensed solution: the PlayStation Chip Picker.
This popped up on Reddit earlier in the week, and apparently came free with PlayStation 4 purchases in Hong Kong. The packaging explains that the utensil is for “picking potato chips only” and that you should avoid using it “with other food”. We reckon this would work well with fries, but we’d better follow the instructions!

Please Sony make it available in Europe! I love it and I need it!
Says on the back "not for sale" - so you can probably pick them up on eBay soon, if not already.
@Paranoimia Yeah it was free with a PS4 in Hong Kong.
The most important thing here is they have correctly named it a Chip picker for picking up "Potato Chips" and not crisps
It can never truly be called a "picker" unless it can effectively pick your nose.
@InvaderJim Crisps not chips! Chips come with burgers!
@Aaron101 no those are Fries or Slap Chips
@InvaderJim
@Paranoimia yep, you are correct!
I don’t need this but I want it
Ha! Classic no dust with tayto though 😂🤣
@Paranoimia idk, I'll concede that in most cases we're just ignorant, stubborn Americans but fries is at least a lot closer to frites than chips.
Cheers!
Is that a Sonic hand?
Didn't know something like this existed. No one is that lazy right? I can see the purpose of keeping your hands clean but come on. lol
Does it have an adaptive trigger & immersive feedback so I can feel the tension everytime I pick up a chip?
@Paranoimia yes boy!!! It's not difficult is it!
@InvaderJimwhat in God's name is a slap chip?? Never heard of those ever!
@Aaron101 Basically just what in the UK you call chips, but softer and often coated in something, its a south African thing. If you got chips from a fish and chip shop and put vinegar on them that made them soft that be a slap chip.
I’ll be using one of these sat in my playstation glasses 🤓
I find it best to pause the game put on my gloves, eat snax then remove gloves and continue game.
@Paranoimia In Canada, we call your "crisps" chips, your "chips" are fries and your "fries" are French fries.
I love how the comment section is all about how to name potato recipes. It's simply different languages, whether you are speaking proper English or the US dialect.
Now let's talk about which sport should be named football (please fight to the death)
@InvaderJim stfu weirdo American it’s CRISPS not CHIPS
Yay! More unnecessary plastic in the environment.
Do like me and use chopsticks for chips. If you're having snacks like nuts, put em in a cup and enjoy!
An evolution of the Nintendo Ultra Hand ahahah

@Mad001 I discovered these crisps when I ended up with Irish in-laws; they are a better crisp than Walkers! I prefer their smokey bacon but t’other half is a cheese & onion stalwart.
You would have a dust problem with Kings though!! (And very cheesy they are too!!)
Chopsticks might be a idea...
I never eat (using my hand) and play at the same time, wash your hand before touching your dualsense/keyboard/smartphone yo, lol.
@EternalOptimist1 that's just wrong 😂
Bringing food and drink anywhere in the vicinity of my gaming setup is a great way to make me freak out... shudders
@Aaron101 exactly m8 haha
@Rhaoulos but then again, that's a whole other argument. The U.S modern dialect and accent is actually closer to the original English language than the modern English dialect.
And to answer your other question, most people either distinct with football or futbol, or American football or football.
That's why I eat cheezits
@GilbertXI I've heard that the US accent is supposedly closer to the original English one. I personally am just an observer as a non native English speaking human being who discovered only a few years back the many differences between US and British English. I just find amusing to see how people get upset over trivial things. If you have the opportunity, ask a french person the difference between pain au chocolat and chocolatine. This is probably subject to more hatred than sports, religions and politics combined.
@GilbertXI That is absolute poppycock. The American English accent has changed dramatically over the years with the abundance of immigrants you have accommodated. England has a myriad of differing accents in a relatively small area and mass immigration has until the last 20 years not been a factor. If you think those accents in all their variety developed in just the last 250 years you're kidding yourself. England had numerous differing accents when the American colonies were first settled and for you to claim the American accent is how English people once sounded is pure stuff and nonsense
Just drink out of the bag like a normee
@Liverbirdsarego Then I've been lied to my whole life. Apologies.
Edit: I should have been insanely more clear, I meant modern cockney and Appalachian/New England in comparison to the received pronunciation of Shakespeare's plays. the R's were pronounced more like Appalachian, especially with words like march. In no way was I trying to associate a single accent with an entire country and I apologize for making it sound like that.
@Deadlyblack anything is a dildo if you're brave enough. The same can probably be said for nose picking
@get2sammyb I too read the article
