Sony’s recently switched to a more globalised marketing strategy, whereby all territories and regions share the same slogan and general promotional campaigns. And the company’s trying to enforce its new ‘Play Has No Limits’ tagline with a flashy brand commercial that sees people travelling to the edge of the world – let’s hope it doesn’t give Flat Earthers any ideas, eh?
To be fair, it’s a cool concept, and we reckon it gets the point across pretty well; PlayStation is all about breaking boundaries and exploring new horizons, right? It’s also very pretty, and will surely look great in movie theatres – assuming you’re still willing to attend them. What do you think of this advertisement, though? SHOCKERRRRRRR
I'LL CHASE YOU TO THE ENDS OF THE EARRRRRRTTHHHHH
EDIT: Holy crap the commercial link was from SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN
I used that site for citing specific research for projects in Grade 12 Physics and Chemistry lol
OUT HERE IN THE FIELDS
@ShogunRok I KNEW THAT SONG SOUNDED FAMILIAR
WAS ABOUT TO COMMENT "Yup that's me. You're probably wondering how I ended up here"
@TheFrenchiestFry ??? Not sure what's going on here, but lol! 😂😂😂
I'm now half expecting that chiming sound to be part of the UI.
Was waiting for Baba O'Riley to properly drop, but it never did.
(Teenage) wasted potential.
Sony is going Into the Unknown instead of, like Microsoft, remaining Frozen 2... I'll see my self out, please let it go.
Haha not as werid as that Japanese Crash bandicoot advert. 🤨🤣
Wow, Playstation's weird commercials are putting me on edge.
@HotGoomba Be grateful it didn't involve a baby using his psychic crying powers to levitate the PS5 into the air
Great video again.
@TheFrenchiestFry On the E D G E. [Hint: I actually really like the PS5 commercials. But this one is my favorite.]
And don't remind me of those awful commercials
Anyone else thought they were about to fight Sin?
@Bdbrady definitely got those vibes when I saw that wall go up! Would have been a cool throwback
Bunch of flat earthers.
That was probably one of the worst ads they've done.
Very cool. That is the trailer you make for DINKs about to drop half a grand for a piece of tech.
@Ken_Kaniff Not really but it was decent.
Nice to hear The Who.
Needs more Cyberpunk.
PLAY HAS NO LIMITS
(**Unless you have more than 825GB of games, then we're gonna' have to cut you off....)
Cool commercial. Weird commercial. Seems like a continuation of the PS4 ads which isn't a bad thing. At least it's not freakishly bizarre in a "WTF did I just see and who are all you people?" sort of way like the PS2 commercials were.
Playstation+ and PlayStation now combined thats what they can do "Play has no limits"
No if square Enix created a new final fantasy game with this much anticipation (and of course epic flying airships!)...
I really like ads like this... They feel epic. I got this Ready Player One feel out of it.
Watching an ad like this on a movie theater before the start of a movie would have been pretty neat.
If you look closely at 0:47, the emblems on the ships’ sails...they look like Hogwarts houses. From left to right: Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Gryffindor. Not sure where is Slytherin. Could it be a hint?!
That's Sony actually crossing over to next gen.
I miss Kevin Butler.
The music immediately reminded me of Hugh Laurie in HOUSE M.D.
God, I miss this show !
Cool spot, thought.
It’s not wierd ? I understand what it’s saying
@TheNewButler are you aware of how perception works ? Lol
