Private Division, the publisher behind The Outer Worlds and, more recently, Disintegration, has announced that it's partnering with the talented folks behind the Ori games over at Moon Studios. "In partnership with Private Division, Moon Studios is creating a compelling new action RPG," reads the publisher's press release.
There isn't much more to this story right now, but given the quality of the aforementioned Ori titles, there's reason to be optimistic for what Moon Studios has in the oven. "We attribute our success to the ‘iterative polish’ process we use at Moon Studios, and we’re continuing that style of development to create a new game that rises above anything we’ve created thus far," the developer states.
In any case, it'll be a while until we hear more about this project. Everything's in "early development", and the first of Private Division's newly announced three-game slate is aiming for fiscal year 2022. Still, we're looking forward to seeing what's in store.

aren't they both Microsoft studios?
@Redman35 Moonstudios are independent.
@Redman35 and Private Division is a multi platform publisher.
@Athrum @Ryall thanks for the info guys just guessed there were MS guys given how they always seem to pop up during there shows
Hmmm. Hopefully it's good and comes to my console 0f choice.
@Redman35 Believe it or not, Private Division is a subsidiary of Take Two Interactive...
OMG that's amazing, can't wait
i thought Moon Studios was part of XBGS...
@Makina no, the Ori games are just published by then.
@HotGoomba What a miss opportunity for MS there.
I can't believe they went and bought a lot of non-related studios but not Moon? I mean they bought Compulsion instead of the creators of 2 Ori games? Mind blowing.
@Royalblues
>Moon said no thanks to a MS acquisition
Really? Confirmed or just rumors?
@Makina The games look great but did they make a lot of money. I love Heavenly Sword but i heard the sales were not so great. A studio can be great but if their games dont sell whats the point.
@Flaming_Kaiser Yeah i now, Corpos wants the numbers.
But men, you got to put some love on your platform. Cuphead and Ori may not be huge blockbusters, but those two are my most beloved names on XBO brand.
You can give me 3 halos, 3 forzas and 3 gears and i still don't sell me a XSX, but a Cuphead succesor and a Ori ARPG? Yes please!
Also, Ori 2 actually did very good on Sales/players count.
@Makina As a company it has too make money and i understand that. I have no idea how good it sold it looks great though. There are lot of games i want too see again. Heavenly Sword, Legend of Dragoon, Dark Cloud, Dino Crisis, Koudelka so many great games. Lets hope the game will be awsome.
@Makina And on the other side its good too keep a lot of 3rd party developers around.
I just hope its not in a first person perspective.
