We now have to wait until November to play it, but Destiny 2: Beyond Light looks like it's going to genuinely change the way Bungie's popular looter shooter is played. The expansion introduces a completely new element -- a first for the franchise -- named Stasis, and it's a power that Guardians can utilise in a number of different ways. The trailer above does a perfect job of demonstrating that.

Taking the shape of ice in a physical form, Stasis will allow you to create new platforms to jump to by throwing a specific grenade, encase enemies to make for a set of easy kills, and shatter members of the Darkness entirely by slamming into them with Supers. It looks like a seriously cool addition to the Destiny universe and we're looking forward to playing around with it ourselves. Just under three months to wait then.
