The Last of Us: Part II is out, and it's been a huge commercial success. To celebrate the launch of its latest project, Naughty Dog has indulged in some silliness by recreating some popular animated GIFs using characters from the game. The results are pretty incredible.

We're going to share the ones we've found with you here. They're only on Twitter for now, but we're sure they'll make their way online in more accessible form in due course. Anyway, take a look at these:

This isn't the first time a first party studio has remade GIFs with its in-game models. Naughty Dog did the same with The Last of Us Remastered, Santa Monica Studio made several God of War GIFs, and even Media Molecule has joined the fun with some Dreams memes. As for these The Last of Us 2 GIFs, there's more to look forward to. Neil Druckmann has said on Twitter that they have more of these than they've posted.
