The Microsoft Store has only gone and done it again. After recently leaking information pertaining to the Mafia: Trilogy and Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning, the site has now accidentally posted an early listing for Crysis Remastered. Of course, we already knew this remaster was a thing, but now the release date, screenshots, and even the trailer we assume would have been posted tomorrow are all now public.
Crysis Remastered launches on PlayStation 4 in less than a month's time on 23rd July 2020 and weighs in at just 7.01GB. That's surprisingly small for a game which was long considered one of the toughest games to run on PC, but then the screenshots we've embedded below might be a big reason as to why. It doesn't look that good.
Even the achievement list for the game has made its way online. The Trophy List will be exactly the same as this so you can start planning your way to the Platinum right now -- there's not a single hidden trinket. We'll be sure to cover the official confirmation of all this information tomorrow, but the cat is very much already out of the bag. Will you be picking up Crysis Remastered next month? Haha, good ol' Microsoft store!
...just... WHY?!?! (no, I can't think of anything else to say)
Amazed that the Microsoft store keeps doing this. Game devs behind the scenes must be doing there nut in. As for the game they did the bare minimum.
Thanks for the article.
I was going to re-buy the original on PC (more of a 'Can it run Crysis?' affair, than the want to replay it). However, I'm now going to wait for this to drop instead.
Not really impressed with the look of this, I enjoyed Crysis 3 and thought at the time it looked really good but this just doesn't look like it was worth the effort.
If the platinum is easy and there is a price drop I might give it a whirl but looks more like it could end up a PS+ game to me.
Give us Crysis 4 🤞
So the island in Crysis takes up about a third of the space of Raccoon City Police Station?Something tells me they didn't make much effort. I don't get why they feel the need to tease trailers for 13 year old games anyway, its not as if we don't know what it looks like
Still got my PS3 copy so unless it ends up looking a whole lot better there seems to reason to get this one. I'd be interested to play it on Switch, but that's about it.
Maybe on Switch, depending on the price.
Had a look at the achievements and it seems the Warhead expansion is not included.
With the game already on PS3, a minor upgrade without the Warhead add on I just don't see the point.
This has gone from a passing interest to an avoid altogether now.
Kinda disappointed with the graphics. Was expecting more improvements.
Nothing special, just adding color correction, and some blur.
Sony's mole strikes again!
It's coming to switch as well.. So I expect this,!.. The baseline was low from the startet
looks like xbox360 screenshots.
It looks ok ill pass.
I'll wait to see more... but that's not that impressive looking truth be told. Was keeping half an eye on this because I genuinely love the Crysis games, but if it's as half arsed as these screen shots and video suggest... no thanks.
The character models and their general look makes me think of really old games like Halo or Half-life.
