We've reported time and time again about how ridiculously huge Embracer Group is getting, but this takes the biscuit. The company which owns publishers including THQ Nordic and Koch Media alongside devs such as Deep Silver, Saber Interactive, and Milestone has more than 118 games in development right now. Yes, Embracer Group has an insane 118 titles in production and 69 of them haven't even been announced yet. Nice.
Revealed in its latest financial report, CEO Lars Wingefors said: "I genuinely believe that we have one of the industry’s most exciting pipelines of upcoming games, engaging over 3,000 game developers across the world. With the acquisition of Saber Interactive, the Group currently has over 118 games under development including 69 still yet to be announced titles."
This includes next month's SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, Destroy All Humans arriving in July, and the currently undated BioMutant. Dead Island 2, Ride 4, and a Gothic remake can also consider themselves a part of this lengthy list. If anything, it looks like Embracer Group has big, big plans for the next generation of consoles.
Are you a fan of Embracer Group's games? With the rate at which it puts them out, you must have played at least one or two. Let us know in the comments below.

That's absolutely insane, but also awesome. I'm enjoying the type of games they're making/publishing.
Battle chasers 2 thq.make it happen.word up son
As I said on ign, buy the Tombi and Syphon Filter licenses and go nuts.
Most of them are rubbish unfortunately.
@nookie_egg No way Sony are selling syphon filter
Dead Island 2 will never see the light of day I'm sure but I'm very excited for Spongebob as I never played the original.
@Rob_230 Loan it out, get an[EDIT]OTHER exclusive. They're not doing jacksh!t with the property and people are crying out for it. Especially now MGS and Splinter Cell are all but dead.
Complimentary uh huh huh uh huh huh 69 comment.
Also rather appropriate for Embracer......uh huh huh.
@Arugula Let's be honest, they publish a ton of shovelware. Saying that they now have 118 games in development doesn't bode well IMO.
Time splitters trilogy please.
Expect rushed bug filled titles when they are released with this practice it seems everyone doesn't care that it will just be a get the game out fix it later or leave it. The so called Remasters of classic titles where poor Darksiders 2, Red Faction Gurilla. And unfortunately they now own Kingdoms Of Armula one of my recent fave RPGs I expect it to get a so called Remaster and it will probably be broken. As they don't fix any bugs the previous versions had
@Octane With an average of more than 25 developers working on each one I’m expecting the all to be AAA standard!
I’m happy that we have a large number of AA titles hopefully coming back for PS5. I felt like PS4 was either indie or AAA games compared to ps3
All I want is TimeSplitters & a new Battle Chasers from them.
They’re clearly playing the long game here. Put out a massive number of games & build a backend catalogue of titles that will continue to generate revenue when we’re in the streaming age.
Okay where are the other 43 games that are "announced"?
Welp, I guess it’s time for my immature moment of the day.
“ 69 are unannounced”
😎 nice
@DeathByLasagna There it is, thank you.
@nookie_egg I'd kill for a new Tombi game. Tombi 1 +2 are the best thing about my childhood.
I have Destroy all Humans ordered @ $39.99. I don't see a problem with this.
@nookie_egg Then Have Konami Loan Out Metal Gear They Did It Before With Rising They Can do It Again.
@Areus hell yeah, rising was awesome
I hope the rest of their games fare better than Biomutant. The game’s official twitter account hasn’t posted since September 2019 and the last news article on the official website is from December 2018!
Kingdoms of Amalur or don't care.
Summoner 4?🤷🏾♂️
Fingers crossed.
This reminds me of biology class and learning about the survival tactics of some animals to have huge litters of offspring in the hopes that a few will survive out of pure luck and statistical chance, as opposed to animals that have only a few offspring and actually devote a lot of nurture and care into helping each one survive and carry on their genes. Clearly THQ Nordic adheres to the former evolutionary strategy.
Love the main picture used for the article
I remember as a kid in the SNES/Megadrive era that the original THQ were absolutely atrocious, reponsible for some of the most hideously broken knockoffs and licensed games ever. Then through acquisitions they managed to bring their reputation up.
THQ Nordic should be careful not to spread itself so thinly as to repeat history. Also, I wonder how many of these games are for the mobile market?
@Splat Kingdoms of Amalur with updated graphics, few more cinematic, some extra content, storage box, difficulty adjustments, general bug fixes and maybe some other extras would be amazing. Too bad the studio went down before they could apply any of those things.
