The "gameplay" trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla may have rubbed more than a few people the wrong way, but the title's initial cinematic reveal trailer has proven to be a gigantic success. The CG trailer, which debuted at the end of April, amassed more than 100 million views in ten days across a number of channels. And, during the company's most recent earnings call, chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet was proud to point out that it's "the most viewed trailer in Ubisoft history". That's pretty impressive.
To be fair, it's a great trailer. It's over four minutes in length, and it does a fantastic job of setting the tone and atmosphere of the upcoming open world adventure. Now we're just eager to see the actual game in action, because that aforementioned "gameplay" trailer certainly didn't satisfy.

Still waiting for a realistic version of the danes. These viking have more in common with marvels thor than the real ones.

Bloody hell, I didn't know this had attracted so many views. Did they pay for pre-roll ads on YouTube or are all these organic?
@get2sammyb I would assume Ubisoft's taking numbers from everything that it can. 100 million seems too big otherwise, even taking every official channel into account.
That is because Kass/Odyssey cemented that AC is back to form.
Trailer can be made with hand puppets - fans will watch it. We want to know what is up next.
I tried Odyssey while it was on trial and I really liked the game. I'm sort of an obsessive though and can never get past the "tapped into a computer" part of Assassin's Creed. That alone makes me not want to play the games. If they'd just go with the games being full-on medieval/open-world RPGs I'd be all in. Yeah it's a dumb reason but...

Assassins creed 3, brotherhood, revelations, unity trailers were ten times better than this.
Wow, I thought it was pretty good...
cgi trailers are always welcome imo.. shows what you can do in game most of time without spoiling too much...
