Apex Legends, the free-to-play shooter from Respawn Entertainment, has been bubbling along nicely since its 2019 arrival. The developer has been keeping it going with regular content updates and new seasons, as with any service game worth its salt. As we approach PlayStation 5, a question must be raised about titles like these: will they make the leap to next-gen? If so, how? While we don't have all the answers, it seems EA's battle royale FPS will indeed make it onto PS5.
As spotted by GamesRadar, the publisher has posted a new job listing at Respawn. What's interesting about this page can be found within the description for the post. The studio is looking for a Senior Rendering Engineer "to push next-gen platforms and the PC to their limits on Apex Legends". While the console isn't mentioned by name, this strongly suggests the game is getting a version on PS5.
It's by no means an official confirmation, but it does appear safe to assume you'll be able to play a next-gen edition of Apex Legends at some point in the future. Hopefully we'll hear more soon.

The next gen announcements are just rolling in today aren’t they. Banger after banger.
@kyleforrester87
I guess so, nothing particularly exciting so far though.
@LieutenantFatman yeahhhhhhhh I was being less than sincere

Oh, aha, I should have guessed, fair enough!
@kyleforrester87 Please stop derailing comments sections with your rampant negativity Kyle, or it's the gallows for you. Public execution.
Be excited for next-gen immediately.
Right now.
@ShogunRok oi, I pay your wages son.
Same thoughts as Kyle, really. I want a PS5 because Sony have an amazing track record but none of the games announced or heavily implied are exactly setting my world on fire. Now, if we got a DQXII, FFXVI or - let's go crazy - a big budget One Piece traditional JRPG... That'd be different.

@M1359 Why are you overreacting so much? "Spreading hate" would be used to describe a white supremacist meeting, not someone agreeing with another poster that the PS5 currently lacks anything to get them hyped, yet they'll still get one anyway since PlayStation consoles are always good. Not exactly hatred, mate. I saw Kyle's post and thought "yeah, same here".
