Rumour: Capcom Has Another Remake in the Works, Not Dino Crisis or Code Veronica X

I think saying to avoid another Resident Evil 3 situation is a bit harsh, Liam. Makes it sound like it's just one for the bargain bin.
A Resident Evil 4 remake would be very popular, I'm sure, seems a good bet.

RE4 would require a 4th purchase ( quad dip? ) from me. I'm down with that.

Doesn’t really sound like RE3 remake was all that terrible? More a source material issue - which since 4 is held in such high regard to begin with shouldn’t really be a problem if that were the remake.

@Steel76 This is the 2022 game, so we'll probably get RE8 next year.

@Steel76 Capcom has several teams for RE, and RE8 has certainly been in development since they wrapped up on the DLC for 7. I really don't think Capcom said "RE7 has done quite well for us, let's just not start making 8 and let the other teams do their remakes while we twiddle our thumbs."

Unlike the situation with resident evil 2 and 3 if they cut content from the ResidentEvil 4 remake it could end up worse than the original.

If it’s not Dino Crisis 1 or 2 then I’m out. It’d be really nice to to back and play those through a remake perspective

As for the new Capcom game...I'm actually really disappointed it's not Code Veronica,loved that game (was so much better than 3 and 4)and felt sure it would be next on the list.

I actually want a remake of Dead Rising.

i actually hope it's NOT Resident Evil, we already had Resi 2 and 3, 4 doesn't need doing at all, the HD remaster is perfectly fine

if they are going to remake something i want it to be one of their older properties like the Breath of Fire series

or maybe the rest of the Onimusha series

Onimusha would be amazing in the RE Engine, with combat similar to how God Of War

Weird that noone mentioned this yet, but the remake seems to be worked on by a new studio led by an ex-Platinum guy. Maybe Viewtiful Joe or another Clover game?

For decades ive wished for a complete remake of street fighter 1.
Make all the characters playable, add extra specials etc, fancy graphics, make it actually playable lol. Add more stages and perhaps a few new characters.

@LieutenantFatman resident evil 4 isn't old with fixed camera angles,tank controls and per-rendered backgrounds so don't know why you guy's keep asking for a remake of 4

@Stragen8 It’s not a source material issue if they couldn’t be bothered remaking the whole game! They cut half the original locations and pretty much all the puzzles!

@ellsworth004 While I love Okami dearly a remake by a third party without Hideki Kamiya would be a tragedy. Plus the original doesn’t really need a remake - it upscale a to 4K beautifully and only really needs mild ease-of-life changes made to some of its antiquated PS2-era systems.

What it really needs is to be sub-licensed to Platinum Games so Kamiya-sensei can make the full-fledged ambitious next-gen sequel he always wanted to!

Resident evil code Veronica definitely needs a Remake because that is the worst RE title because of all the backtracking it has awesome characters which remind you it has Wesker and continue the story for Claire from RE2, So make both titles

@Steel76 maybe you are a young gamer but people has been asking especially resident evil remake Since early 2000’s ever since they remake RE1, people/fans wanted RE2 & RE3 and now people want Code Veronica. I mean some of the new games in current year are full of micro transaction or lazy half done i rather get new look classic games then sh*tty new products put out nowadays
