Overwatch 2 has been a rather controversial sequel ever since its announcement at BlizzCon, bringing with it a PvE campaign and working in unison with the original game's multiplayer offerings. When is it going to release, however? The PlayStation Brazil Twitter account reckon it's launching on PlayStation 4 this year, but it's either had a change of heart or broke the news too early as the tweet has now been deleted.
Spotted by VG247, the official Twitter account made the claim before promptly deleting it. However, Voxel managed to grab a screenshot which you can see for yourself below. However, can we actually read too much into this?
Upon the game's announcement, game director Jeff Kaplan claimed that even he doesn't know when Overwatch 2 will release. "I have a feeling we’ll be talking about Overwatch 2 again next year at BlizzCon. If that helps." This lead us to believe that the title is almost certainly a PlayStation 5 game. That is still a strong possibility, but in 2020? We don't think so. Next year seems much, much more likely despite the supposedly lacking amount of content it'll be packing.

I am going to say cross-generation release - PS4 in Fall 2020, PS5 at release.
Seeing how it’ll come to switch too I’m 100% certain it’ll be on both ps4 and ps5.
Also I’m still convinced that rather than “remastering” ps4 games for ps5 I think they’ll go the pc route and give a ps5 exclusive update if you insert the ps4 disc.
A leaker with a good track record says it'll be released late this year, I'm hoping we get this year or next year
