Does The Sims 4 Have Multiplayer PS4 PlayStation 4 Guide

Is there multiplayer in The Sims 4 on PlayStation 4? The Sims is a series that has popped up on PS2, PS3, and PS4, so console fans are no strangers to these popular life management games. Traditionally, The Sims is a single player experience, but multiplayer isn't totally unheard of. The Sims 2 on PS2 had local split-screen multiplayer, while mobile and PC variations have also featured ways to play together online.

But what about The Sims 4 on PS4? Is there a way to play together? Find the answer below.

Is there multiplayer in The Sims 4 on PS4?

To put it bluntly, no, there is no multiplayer mode in The Sims 4 on PS4. Unfortunately, the game does not feature any way to play with other people -- it is strictly a single player title. Of course, you can have a friend alongside you to help make decisions while you play, or you can pass the controller, but there are no built-in modes that support multiplayer.

Using PS4's Share Play functionality will allow you to virtually pass the pad, or you could simply invite a friend to watch your gameplay. That's about the limit of The Sims 4's multiplayer, unfortunately. Who knows -- maybe EA will find a way to implement multiplayer in The Sims 5?
