If Death Stranding doesn't take your fancy this coming Friday, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled's next big Grand Prix update is scheduled to go live on the very same day. Titled Neon Circus, it brings with it a new race track, another game mode called Ring Rally, and your typical selection of cosmetic items.
Kicking proceedings off on Friday 8th November, the free update's biggest addition is the all-new game mode. Ring Rally is a race against the clock as a timer continuously ticks down to zero, and it's your job to lengthen your time on the track by collecting coins or finishing as many laps as you can. The further you get, however, the smaller the rings get -- making them even harder to add to your total.
Elsewhere, making it to the top rank of the Nitro Gauge unlocks a new character to play with. Koala Kong is the final unlock, but there are various skins, karts, and decals to unlock along the way. Are you heading back to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled later this week? Grab first place in the comments below.
Hmm, I really like the sound of Ring Rally.
The new mode sounds interesting. Might be worth dipping back into CTR to check it out.
@LiamCroft Don't you just need to reach the end of the Bronze rank to unlock Koala Kong, and then one of its skins is the final unlock? It's probably just a minor mistake, but I got a bit confused by it.
Anyway, I do love colourful tracks (Rainbow Road is generally my favourite track in each Mario Kart game), so I'll be sure to give it a try.
Activision's blog mentions that they've also hidden a secret new character into the game, King Chicken. So that's another thing for me to try to unlock.
Beenox clearly reading the thread last time I commented on CTR, saying that I wanted N Brio and Koala Kong to be added, and here they are.
I kinda gave up on this game, but might get back to it one day.
