PlayStation Vue’s on the market, and Sony’s purportedly already been in contact with one potential buyer. According to a report by The Information, the organisation has been in contact with sports-focusing streaming platform FuboTV about the possibility of selling the service, which would include its 500,000-strong subscriber base and its underlying technology.
According to the original article, the Japanese giant has been struggling to turn a profit with the initiative, despite hiking prices earlier this year. The issue all comes down to the cost of programming itself, as the service’s feature-set has been widely well received; PS Vue, for example, allows you to watch multiple shows on a single screen – a great option for sports fans.
Of course, with Apple TV Plus and Disney+ all on the horizon, the manufacturer may see this as a good moment to cut its losses and get out of the sector – especially with competing companies looking to invest heavily into original content. Whether this will have any kind of impact on the recently established PlayStation Productions – a division designed to leverage Sony’s gaming properties in cross-media projects – remains to be seen.

I've been using it for a while and have been satisfied with it. Though with Disney + coming (and getting a free year of it ) I've been contemplating making a change. This makes the decision easier.
@YozenFroghurt think I'll survive but thanks for the advice
The cost is a turn off imo. Might as well stick with a cable company if its gonna cost the same.
ps vue still exists???
I have subscribed to Vue the last couple years. Pick it up at the end of August when college football starts and drop it when it ends In January.
@redd214 how are u getting a free year??
Didn't even know this was still a thing. Kinda reminds me of the PlayStation TV. A Freeview add-on for PS3 that I once had. I also installed YellowDog Linux for a full on media centre in one device approach.
@ellsworth004 if you're on Verizon Wireless unlimited plan or have FIOS you get a free year

Yet people think cloud gaming is the future. The samething will happen to PSNow, which is not profitable either. This will happen to most streaming services, tv and gaming.
I used PS Vue for a bit but it got to expensive. Now I have Sling and couldn't be happier.
