Okami Sequel

Oh boy, Ikumi Nakamura just loves causing trouble on Twitter, and she's at it again. The former Ghostwire Tokyo developer, now seemingly touring the many game studios of the world, has teamed up with Platinum's Hideki Kamiya for her latest tweet, in which the duo joke about resurrecting classic action adventure title Okami. At least, we think it's a joke.

"Okami is going to be back," says Kamiya, before giving a big thumbs-up to the camera. "Really?" asks Nakamura. "Really," replies Kamiya. The two then break into laughter as the video is cut.

Both Nakamura and Kamiya worked on the original Okami back on the PS2, but obviously neither of them are developing games for Capcom these days. Still, that hasn't stopped the tweet from causing waves around the web, with thousands of people now whipped up over the thought of a potential sequel.

This is Capcom's call to make, but the company did recently say that it wants to explore its dormant franchises. Could Okami be one of them? Maybe Nakamura and Kamiya saw the news and wanted to let Capcom know they'd be up for it? Tough to say.
