Update: Monster Hunter World: Iceborne patch 11.01 is available to download now on PlayStation 4, weighing in at around 1.4GB. Happy hunting!

Original Story: Capcom has detailed two incoming updates for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Version 11.00 and 11.01 are set to release on the 10th October alongside new monster Rajang and a brand new volcanic Guiding Lands region. In short, these updates add and adjust quite a lot of stuff. Monster Hunter World just keeps on giving.

First up, you'll be able to craft a whole load of new layered armour sets -- many of them taken from the base game. Transmog -- the ability to customise your equipment's appearance without sacrificing any stats -- is something that fans have been asking about for ages, and it's finally happening, kind of.

Next, key adjustments are being made to how region levels work in the Guiding Lands. Iceborne's endgame is superb, but there's always room for improvement, and so Capcom has been taking feedback on board. For example, you can now set region levels to "fixed" before entering the Guiding Lands, ensuring that the environment remains the same no matter what you end up hunting. Good news if you're looking for specific monsters. There are way more details over on the official update post.

And to top it all off, the development team has released another diary video, which we've embedded above. It's got Rajang, it's got layered armour, and it's well worth a watch.

Are you enjoying Iceborne? Will you be taking on Rajang over the next few days? Be wary of its golden fur in the comments section below.
