Yes, we are going to repeat that brilliantly awful line from the reveal trailer whenever possible. Dangerously cheesy dialogue aside, Need for Speed Heat looks to be shaping up rather nicely. There's now lots of new gameplay footage available to watch, and we've included one video above.
IGN's 13-minute video includes a number of street races during the game's twilight hours, and it seems fairly promising. It looks good, there's a great sense of speed, and it appears to control well. Of course, we'll need to play it for ourselves before we can make a real judgment call, but it does look like Ghost Games could be onto something here.
Need for Speed Heat drifts onto PS4 on 8th November. Does this new gameplay rev your engines? Honk your horn in the comments below.

Well, I mean, it certainly doesn't look bad. Cautiously optimistic.
As a HUGE nfs underground fan, this sounds good. And I mean, literally the sound is good. And that's all..
Looks great, really hope this is a return to form for the series. Definitely my most anticipated ps4 title for the rest of the year, can't wait to try it out!
Looks good, sounds good, but the car handling seems flat and boring. Of course i am fully expecting an arcade handling model, but this seems way too dumbed down. But the level design looks vibrant and varied, i like that part.

It could be a fun arcade racer, but still very sceptical due to EA.
I haven't played a Need for Speed since 2005's Most Wanted, but it still remains my favourite driving game of all time, alongside Burnout 3. I know that that this gen's NFS games have a pretty poor reputation, but I'm hoping this one could be the comeback that pulls me back in. Some aspects seem pretty similar to Most Wanted at least, which is cool. Still, though... hard to put faith in EA.
I want to be excited but by this, and previous, videos it still has that steering where, if you turn too sharply or try and break whilst turning, it will force you into a drift. Hopefully the next NfS is better.
