After two days of downtime and a late leaked trailer last night, Fortnite is now back up and running on Playstation 4. Now dubbed Fortnite Chapter 2, this latest season brings with it a lot of new additions by way of a 9GB update. For starters, however, check out the launch trailer above.
The biggest addition is, of course, an entirely new map. The original was sucked away with the black hole, so this new landmass is the only map you can currently play on. It features 13 new locations, new "water gameplay" that includes swimming, fishing, and motorboats, and a new Battle Pass. Players can now hide in dumpsters and haystacks to get the drop on unsuspecting enemies, heal their teammates with the Bandage Bazooka, and even upgrade weapons.
The game's biggest update yet has clearly caused some waves across the gaming community, but are you jumping back into Fortnite with Chapter 2? Dance in the comments below.

In the time Fortnite was down:
World hunger solved
Middle East peace found
Global economy on the rise
X Factor ended
Trump removed
"Easy home assembly" instructions now actually easy to understand
Taxes made simple
Boris Johnson finds intelligence
Racism defeated
and copying on PS4 now actually quick.
The hysteria from some circles was hilarious.
Hyped for this! Can't wait to try it after work
@QualityGeezer Nice of you to notice dear. I only say how it is.
I stopped playing fortnite when they added all sorts of travel options.
it killed the feelz
@QualityGeezer LOL I could say the same for a fair few others on here, not my problem if some don't like been called out on it.
@QualityGeezer Not at all, I'm just very opinionated. If I feel if someone has commented that I feel is harsh or without much understanding on the subject then I say so. But some have a problem with that, but the way I see it is if you comment on a public place you should know that some will like what you say or not and need to be able to deal with. The social media isn't a place for thin skin sadly
@QualityGeezer Not always mate, but if it seems like that then I think it's because of the way things have been on here within the past year where far too many have just come into the comments just to moan without contributing anything to the discussion. I actually made a point of this in the forums and I wasn't the only one to do so.
There's plenty of people on here who's opinions on here I don't agree with but I don't debate with because they put forward very good points or are respectful of other's.
@PhantomXIII I did actually call someone out recently on a TLOU2 story where someone belittled xbox games and I said that Playstation fans should be better then that.
I'm not perfect and I don't pretend to be, I could be better at how I express myself like anyone else.
But thanks for been respectful cos it's all too easy these days to just throw insults at others.
My comment on here was more about the reaction of the game going offline
I would like to add my own feelings of hilarity watching some of the Fortnite meltdowns these past couple of days.
I genuinely think Epic overestimated their audience's (and their parents') intelligence this time. Some of the media coverage didn't help - but the 'compo face' reaction game was hotting up for minute there!
New map as basic and disappointing as last map. Fortnite cant even copy apex legends correctly. Mechs lmfao!
Yawn.
Does anybody over the age of 16 actually play this rubbish? If they do then why?
What a waste of a PS4!
