From the looks of things, Death Stranding is a bit of an odd game. With a Bridge Baby strapped to his chest, The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus must reconnect an America in ruins. It's a weird premise indeed, and it sounds like development of the title was just as bizarre.

Speaking with Hollywood Reporter, Reedus discusses the embarrassment of having to squeeze into a tiny, revealing suit for motion capture that made any interaction with other actors on set incredibly awkward. He then goes on to talk about Hideo Kojima's role in all of this.

A lot of times it was just me and Hideo. He would have a plastic baby doll on the ground and want me to cradle it and act like it’s dead. Then act like it’s alive. Then freak out because there’s handprints everywhere. You stand up and he goes, imagine there’s a thousand dead whales in front of you, and you’re like, 'What?!' His mind is on another level.

Death Stranding's narrative appears to be another thing that was almost foreign to Norman Reedus. "He revealed it in bits and pieces and I’ll admit that some of those bits and pieces I was like, what are you talking about?" We'll have a much better idea of what's going on once we play the game for ourselves, but at least we're not the only ones feeling a little dumbfounded at this stage.
