Anthem

Ah yes, BioWare is still trying to keep its failed looter-shooter alive. ANTHEM is dead in the water, but in an effort to keep its tiny community engaged, the former Mass Effect developer has issued an update on its blog pertaining to what lies ahead of the game. The problem is, head of live service Chad Robertson doesn't actually announce or even hint at anything for the future whatsoever.

With the title "What is next for ANTHEM", you'd expect some sort of content reveal to be included. Robertson discusses the feedback received from the title's recent Cataclysm event, before taking a deep dive into the road ahead.

In order to address these long-range plans, we are moving away from the Acts structure for updates. Instead, we have additional seasonal updates planned for this year that we think players will enjoy. These events will deliver challenges and chases similar to what you’ve seen, and are built around some fun themes we’re bringing to the game.

He wraps up by stating: "So I don’t have any news today to share about the long-term changes we are bringing to Anthem." What? You've just made a blog post with a title that states you'll be revealing what's next for ANTHEM, and that is how you sign off? Wow. What makes things all the more troubling is that the details provided prior to that are incredibly vague -- with simple "additional seasonal updates" apparently on the way. Come on BioWare, put the final nail in this coffin and focus on Dragon Age 4.

You're not playing ANTHEM, are you? Discuss the latest, successful looter shooter in the comments below.
