Nintendo has once again rained on Crash Bandicoot's parade. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has been pushed back to third place as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe boosts to the front of the pack in the latest physical chart.
It's a quiet week yet again for PlayStation 4 software. Mortal Kombat 11 has made a giant leap up the chart from 40th to fourth, thanks to store bundles. The Division 2 is also back in the top 10, going from 13th to ninth. Other than that, you're looking at the usual suspects: Red Dead Redemption 2, Minecraft, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Next week's chart will hopefully look slightly different, with the likes of Control, Wreckfest, and Man of Medan either out or coming later this week. Let's hope they can make a dent, if only for variety's sake.

Astral Chain number 1 next week, then?
@kyleforrester87 At this rate it's entirely possible. No competition.
Yu-Gi-Oh was tenth?
That's pretty decent for a game of a card game that hasn't been relevant for over a decade and only on switch (Well that version at least) I'd laugh if that was somehow first next week :')
@ShogunRok it also helps that it GONE BE DOPE
@ShogunRok Control? Spiderman GOTY? Literally any other game with a sale?
I mean Astral Chain is gonna be great, but its also the words Platinum Games, Switch exclusive, and Action game.
These things individually already struggle in the UK as is to varying degrees (Action game probably has the best shot by far!), so expecting Astral Chain at the top when it is niche as niche gets.....nope.
@Knuckles-Fajita I mean, if a Switch exclusive tactical RPG topped the UK chart, there's gotta be something to bet on the odds of an action one.😏
@Knuckles-Fajita Exactly, no competition.
Nice to see the top 5 are all quality, well made games, even if it is during a quieter period of the year
@Knuckles
Plenty of switch exclusives have topped the charts, so don't see what your point is
@suikoden Pinged the wrong Echidna, I'm not the Fajita type.
Kinda surprising to see MK8D at the top all of a sudden, sales perhaps?
I see only Control and Astral Chain breaking into the top 10 next week.
That Osborne Effect from PS5 confirmation sure is kicking in now.
People knock on how Nintendo never has good sales but if they can keep a full-priced port of a 2014 game on top of the charts over two years after release - why would they drop its price?
Anyway September is gonna be awesome on all fronts, can’t wait.
Nintendo and Rockstar
Make an amazing game last gen and polish that turd for 10 years lol. Seems to work like a charm
