The announcement of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD was met with a muted reaction from fans of the SEGA series. The original Wii game is thought to be the worst of the bunch, but there's every chance its revival on PlayStation 4 could be a different story. It remains to be seen if motion inputs have been replaced with direct control, but that could be a literal game changer.
In any case, at least it looks good. This new trailer is our first proper look at the game in action, and it certainly looks the part -- crisp, colourful visuals and smooth performance. We remain cautiously optimistic.
Banana Blitz HD is out on 29th October 2019. Are you looking forward to the return of Super Monkey Ball? What do you think of this brief gameplay trailer? Roll into the comments below and let us know.

Looks really nice. 😃
Well motion inputs would NEED to be replaced wouldn't they? This is coming to Xbox One.
I imagine it'll be an option on motion enabled platforms though.
Too bad it's nothing more than an upres. Some improved lighting would do wonders on this game.
This is not a good game. It is way too easy and simple. They should have ported Super Monkey Ball 1 or 2. Not Deluxe because the controls were awful in that version.
