When Persona 5 Royal's Japanese release date (31st October, 2019) was revealed, developer Atlus was quick to confirm that the game would launch in the West in 2020. However, a specific release window was never nailed down, leading to a lot of fans wondering whether they'd be waiting a long time for Royal to arrive overseas. After all, when it comes to timeliness, Atlus' localisation track record is rough to say the least.

Fortunately, it's looking like the West won't have to wait quite as long as many had feared. During an Atlus art showcase in Los Angeles, as reported by GameSpot, a brief trailer has confirmed that Persona 5 Royal will launch at some point in Spring 2020. That's not too bad, right?

Of course, this does mean that Royal could potentially clash with a number of other incredibly high profile titles coming in Spring 2020. Both Final Fantasy VII Remake (3rd March) and Cyberpunk 2077 (16th April) currently cast a large shadow over the season -- and they're just at the forefront of the onslaught.
