NIS America is bringing remastered versions of Langrisser and Langrisser II to PlayStation 4 in early 2020 in the form of a collection called Langrisser I & II. Langrisser is a series of strategy role-playing games that stretches back to the 1990s. It's been missing on home consoles for over a decade, however. It last appeared on PlayStation back in 2005, when Langrisser III was re-released on the PS2.
Gameplay-wise, the series is comparable to Fire Emblem. Large-scale battles take place on a grid-based map, and each type of unit has specific strengths and weaknesses. The Langrisser games also have a focus on character-driven stories.

Excellent news! I love these kind of games and this looks similar in a way to my favourite srpg of all time...Shining Force.
Warsong (Langrisser 1) was one of my favourite games on the Megadrive so I really can't wait for this.
@Wazeddie22 yeah basically Shining Force but each character has soldier units too. As for Shining Force I'm a huge fan of the second game and I was always gutted we only got the first part of Shining Force 3 on Saturn over here, great series.
Cool seems like my type of game.
This looks surprisingly fun!
My eyes are suitably peeled
@carlos82 I'm surprised I never knew about this on the megadrive.The Shining Force series was my most played games on the system back in the day and anything similar I would of snatched up.
And yes not getting Shiny Force 3 part 2 was a crime!But you never know...we may get the whole remastered collection one day eh...
@Wazeddie22 it may have being North America only as I only ever saw Genesis on the cartridge but my local Gamestation always seemed to have a copy of it. Great game and you're in for a treat
Sorry PS4, but I'm getting this one on the Switch. Great that it's coming to PS4 too though, I had written this off from ever coming to the west.
@Wazeddie22 You have excellent taste.
I have it for my pc-engine(tg-16.) But it would be nice to have it in english.
Ohh, man... I don't like anime stuff. I would pass an English exam using https://au.edubirdie.com/english-assignment-help rather than watching this stuff. Why so many people like this?
