The reception to Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been somewhat divisive. Some are excited for the smash hit series to return to a more grounded setting, while others are concerned it may tread controversial territory for the sake of it. What we really need to see is some gameplay, and that's finally happening later today -- although it's unlikely to answer the bigger questions.
The developer has announced that four Twitch personalities, namely LEGIQN, Syndicate, TeePee, and CouRage, will be streaming Modern Warfare live from 10am PDT (that's 1pm EDT or 6pm BST). However, we won't be seeing the campaign. Instead, the influencers will be helping to debut Gunfight, a brand new 2v2 multiplayer mode.
You'll be able to tune into any of the aforementioned streamers' Twitch channels (linked above) to check out not only the first public gameplay of Modern Warfare, but also the first footage of multiplayer. Other announcements are being teased as well, so it's probably worth checking out.

but it's Call of Duty, apart from looking nicer what is there to show, it will play the same as all the other COD games do
I want to see the single player
I really hope they bring back Team Defender mode. That was my absolute favourite multiplayer mode and the one and only time it ever appeared was in Modern Warfare 3. It promoted conflict and because everybody had their own tactic for defending/attacking the flag carrier it made every round feel fresh to me.
@JoeBlogs
You also forgot sports games.....
Will multiplayer still be full of toxic 9 Yr old?
I'll wait until MP gameplay comes to youtube. I just hope that it doesn't have those idiotic and over excitable eSport commentators over the game-ply - that's enough to put me off straight away
@Strebor_ The whole article is about the Multiplayer being streamed Today - debuting 2v2 Gunfight MP mode!
It helps if you read the article before the comments...
I never really have a whole lot of excitement for cod games apart from treyarch, but the 2v2 peaks my interest. I usually can only talk one of my friends in to playing with me at a time so this would be great for me.
Il wait until it’s out for a few months and see what loot box system they put in but I’m willing to bet they will just kill the game with unnecessary pay mechanics and then go on to release news about not selling enough copies and then they will just cut more jobs of hard working devs on the ground.
