Do cheats disable trophies in Sonic Mania?

As far as we're aware, you can't earn trophies while using cheats in Sonic Mania. This is because you need to have Debug Mode enabled in order to enter the cheat codes, and Debug Mode disables trophies from unlocking. You have been warned.

How to input cheats in Sonic Mania

There are a couple of steps you'll need to perform in order to enter cheats in Sonic Mania. However, it's easy enough to do. First, you need to go to the secret Level Select screen. To do this, go into Mania Mode and enable Debug Mode. Then, highlight the No Save option, hold Square, and press X.

You should now see the Level Select screen. Scroll down to the sound test. Here, you'll need to play certain sounds in sequence to activate each cheat code. If you're successful, you'll hear a chime.

Unlocks all the chaos emeralds, allowing you to play as Super Sonic.
