E3 Quiz Results 2019

Here we go again! Just before E3 2019 started, we published our fifth annual Push Square E3 Community Quiz, in which we asked you 20 yes or no questions about the show. Would we get Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay? Would Final Fantasy VII Remake get a 2019 release date? It was your job to try and predict the events of E3 2019.

And now that the dust has settled, how many predictions did you, the Push Square community, get right? There's only one way to find out...

1. Will more than 6 games also coming to PS4 be shown during the Xbox press conference? (761 votes)

Your answer: Yes (81%)

CORRECT

Okay, we're off to a good start! Microsoft did indeed show more than six games that have also been confirmed for a PS4 release.

2. Will we see more than 10 minutes of Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay at the Xbox press conference? (755 votes)

Your answer: Yes (52%)

WRONG

Damn and blast, you were so close! To be fair, we would have voted yes as well, but Cyberpunk 2077 didn't get any extended gameplay demo during the Xbox presser, just a CG trailer and a short release date trailer.

3. Will Cyberpunk 2077 get a confirmed release date during E3 2019? (743 votes)

Your answer: No (51%)

WRONG

Oh ye of little faith. Cyberpunk 2077 got a confirmed release date at the Xbox press conference. Let's hope it sticks!

4. Will From Software's new game be announced during the Xbox press conference? (722 votes)

Your answer: Yes (59%)

CORRECT

Bah, this one was too easy! The game actually leaked ahead of E3, and it was obviously going to be at the Xbox presser. Oh well, a correct answer is a correct answer...

5. Will we see more than 10 minutes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay during the EA Play livestream? (706 votes)

Your answer: Yes (70%)

CORRECT

Nice. We got around 15 whole minutes of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay right at the start of EA's livestream. Easily the highlight of EA Play.

6. Will at least one professional football (soccer, for you Americans) player be present at EA Play when FIFA 20 is shown? (670 votes)

Your answer: Yes (68%)

WRONG

Dammit EA, what were you thinking? There wasn't a professional football player in sight when FIFA 20 was up on the EA Play stream. The closest we got was Rio Ferdinand (now retired) talking about the beautiful game during a short documentary.

7. Will a brand new IP be announced during Bethesda's press conference? (676 votes)

Your answer: No (53%)

WRONG

Your cynicism has cost you another point! Though they may have only gotten CG trailers, both Ghostwire Tokyo and Deathloop are brand new properties from Bethesda.

8. Will Bethesda issue any kind of apology for Fallout 76 during its press conference? (694 votes)

Your answer: No (71%)

CORRECT

Todd Howard? Issue an apology? Not a chance, especially not on an E3 stage. The Bethesda boss did make a smarmy joke about how Fallout 76 was crap at launch, but he definitely didn't even come close to what could be called an apology.

9. Will a Fallout game - remastered, remade, or brand new - be announced at Bethesda's conference? (685 votes)

Your answer: No (60%)

CORRECT

Okay, you were right not to trust the rumours on this one. No new Fallout games -- not even a mobile title -- were announced during the Bethesda presser.

10. Will the word "Skyrim" be said on stage during Bethesda's E3 conference? (672 votes)

Your answer: Yes (75%)

CORRECT

Bethesda just couldn't help itself. Yes, the word "Skyrim" was spoken on stage during the publisher's press conference. We can't remember where exactly, but it definitely was. We have it written down and everything.

11. Will Ubisoft spend more than 20 minutes of its press conference detailing updates for existing games? (639 votes)

Your answer: Yes (74%)

WRONG

Ooooh, this one is a little tough to take. Ubisoft detailed a lot of updates during its pre-show, not during its actual press conference. That said, it did focus on existing games for a decent amount of time on stage as well, but it wasn't for more than 20 minutes.

12. Will we see more than 10 minutes of Watch Dogs Legion gameplay during Ubisoft's press conference? (630 votes)

Your answer: Yes (53%)

CORRECT

Thankfully, we did see more than ten minutes of Watch Dogs Legion gameplay at Ubisoft's presser. It was a very lengthy gameplay demo.

13. Will a new Splinter Cell game be announced at Ubisoft's press conference? (635 votes)

Your answer: No (56%)

CORRECT

Well, you're no fun, but you got this one. Sam Fisher did appear during the presser, but he was only in a trailer for a Tom Clancy mobile game. Still no movement on a new Splinter Cell, even after all these years.

14. Will the next main Assassin's Creed game be announced at Ubisoft's press conference? (618 votes)

Your answer: No (59%)

CORRECT

The heavily rumoured viking-focused Assassin's Creed game was a no-show this year, meaning that it's almost guaranteed to be at E3 2020.

15. Will we see any actual, raw gameplay (not as part of a trailer) for Marvel's The Avengers at E3 2019? (621 votes)

Your answer: Yes (67%)

CORRECT

You got lucky on this one. While Square Enix's press conference didn't have any raw Avengers gameplay, leaked footage from a behind closed doors demo of the game did end up on YouTube. That's technically raw gameplay at E3 2019. Technically.

16. Will Square Enix spend more than 8 minutes of its showcase on Final Fantasy VII Remake? (611 votes)

Your answer: Yes (74%)

CORRECT

Square Enix actually spent a solid 20 minutes or so on Final Fantasy VII Remake, and boy was it good.

17. Will Final Fantasy VII Remake get a 2019 release date at E3 2019? (604 votes)

Your answer: No (60%)

CORRECT

You didn't let the hype get to you on this one, and for good reason. Final Fantasy VII Remake did get a release date, but it's 2020, not 2019.

18. Will Square Enix show or at least tease a brand new Final Fantasy game during E3 2019? (595 votes)

Your answer: No (66%)

WRONG

Oh no, you've been shot down by a bloody mobile game! Square Enix announced spin-off title War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius at its press conference, which unfortunately counts as a brand new Final Fantasy game. Final Fantasy VIII Remastered was also there, but that's not really a "brand new" Final Fantasy title, since it's a remaster.

19. Will a new NieR game be announced at E3 2019? (600 votes)

Your answer: No (60%)

CORRECT

Nope, no NieR in sight at E3 2019!

20. Will Sony release at least one brand new trailer for at least one of its upcoming first party games while E3 is happening? (613 votes)

Your answer: Yes (70%)

WRONG

Most of you thought Sony would have something up its sleeve for E3 2019 despite not being at the show, but you were sadly mistaken. The Japanese giant has stuck to its guns, showing nothing new of its first party games while the Los Angeles convention took place.

Final Score

Hey, not bad! You manged to get over half of our questions correct, which is pretty good considering how up and down this E3 has been in terms of announcements and gameplay and press conference quality.

Well done everyone!
