For those out of the loop, The Messenger is an excellent retro action game that arrived late on PlayStation 4. It launched back in March, bringing its fun spin on Ninja Gaiden to Sony's console, and it's well worth playing. Already quite a lengthy title, developer Sabotage has been busy cooking up an expansion. It's called Picnic Panic, it'll be totally free, and it launches on 11th July.

As you can see in this new trailer, Picnic Panic takes you to a tropical setting, where you'll face a raft of new levels, as well as new bosses and a continuation of the tongue in cheek story. That's about all we know for now, but more from The Messenger can only be a good thing.
