Shenmue fans around the world, including Push Square's own Sammy Barker, were in dreamland yesterday when a new gameplay trailer confirmed that Shenmue III most certainly looks and plays like a Shenmue game. One smaller detail they might have passed on though is that the long-awaited experience will be continuously updated with DLC thanks to a season pass.
As described in the PlayStation Store's listing of the Digital Deluxe edition, Shenmue III will come packaged with "the full game, DLC Pass (the complete post-launch DLC content and the “Burning Sandstorm” Advanced Technique Scroll) and the legendary Ryo’s Flight Jacket." It's available for pre-order right now, priced at $74.99 on the US Store and £69.99 here in the UK. Interestingly, this season pass is not a part of the physical collector's edition from Limited Run Games that was detailed on Monday.
So, what sort of DLC would you like to see come to Shenmue III? A new area? New characters? Even more story? Play a game of Lucky Hit in the comments below.

Ine-san's Revenge: an all-new standalone adventure where Ine-san finally snaps and hunts Ryo down, desperate to reclaim all the money he owes her, by any means necessary.
So what about the Kickstarter backers? Do we get the season pass?
Dedicated forklift racing mode or I'm out
Shenmue 4 & 5 would be rather generous!
I can only dream they do something like AC: Odyssey.
I am a backer, I'll get the season pass as soon as we told how. Whatever helps makes Shenmue 3 a success for them
Booo to a season pass.
I'll pay 80 if it comes with a real flight jacket. 🤨

New toys in the capsule toy machines. "Loot balls."
Goro's Bromance Simulator DLC
How about no dlc and just a finished game?
