Microsoft should have named its Project Scarlett reveal as Project Scorpio Remastered, because we’ve definitely seen this video before. Xbox decided to announce its next-gen console in the most predictable of ways possible: by showing everyday people sitting in front of a green screen reeling off buzzwords like they’re going out of fashion. This ain’t got nothing on a Wired article on a random Tuesday afternoon.
But as we said at the time, Sony’s decision to get out ahead of the team in green was actually a shrewd one, because absolutely every bullet-point that its talking heads mentioned can also apply to the PlayStation 5. Whether it’s the custom SSD or real-time ray tracing under the hood, it sounds like Microsoft is making almost the exact same box as its Japanese rival. Did anyone really expect anything different? It’s due out in 2020.

All Sony has to do is announce the price and have a good lineup of launch Games
That man's beard is very distracting.
It's a repeat of the 2013 situation, the two boxes will be damn near identical, the war is won on price and that initial presentation.
Hey, this is just ps5 lol. Sony was right to share the news on wired to take the wind out of microsoft presentation, after seeing this presentation people just like, “well this is just ps5 without sony games”.
Microsoft is in trouble if their system is weaker than ps5 since playstation now has of couple of big AAA 10M selling 1st party games compared to xbox.
Honestly it could be 20 times more powerful than PS5, and I still wouldn't buy it. Sony and Nintendo have a ton of exclusives that I love. Microsoft doesn't.
@Knuckles-Fajita and their exclusive games as well
Microsoft have just accepted their role is to make what are basically more basic Steamboxes.
It's pretty sad for them, and E3 as a whole, that by far the most excitement is about Keanu's appearance.
