Plenty of games have their own line of merchandise nowadays. Heck, even Hideo Kojima's development studio has a range of clothing, among other things. So it's no surprise to see that Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is getting a healthy dose of merch, and you can pre-order a bunch of it over on PlayStation Gear.
You have your typical items here; a few t-shirts, key rings, mugs, that sort of thing. However, one product in particular caught our eye -- a Crash Team Racing incense burner.
"Recreate the smouldering atmosphere of the race track with this Crash Team Racing incense burner," reads the product description. "Place an incense cone under the engine of Crash’s kart and watch as smoke rises from the twin exhaust pipes." Alright, then.
It's an imaginative bit of merchandise, this. We can't think of any other instances of video game related incense burners, but feel free to correct us. It's a silly novelty, but we don't expect the Venn diagram of people who love CTR, people who love incense, and people willing to splash 40 quid on tat constitutes a large number.
Will you be buying the official Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled incense burner? Smell that burning rubber in the comments below.

Bit weird. I remember they did a smelly candle for Resi 7 when that came out. Was supposed to help create an atmosphere if played in VR
Most certainly a Friday afternoon story if ever I saw one.
Unless it comes with "overheated two-stroke and burnt rubber" incense, to make my apartment smell like I'd expect it to smell when playing a kart racer, I really don't wanna know.
If it’s game-activated to blow puffs of stank out at appropriate gameplay moments, I’d be all-in for smell-o-vision.
@roe Eew, that one would be even worse!
"For the true Resident Evil experience, fill your gaming space with the smell of rotting flesh and gunpowder."
Surprised they didn’t name it N.Cense.
