MediEvil had a Halloween release date slapped on it during last night's State of Play livestream, and it's available to pre-order now on the PlayStation Store for a very reasonable asking price of £24.99/$29.99. US users can pre-order here. You'll even get 10 lovely avatars at launch if you put the cash down now - one of which will surely feature a lovely mugshot of Sir Daniel Fortesque.
If you're looking for more though, you can opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition which is priced at £34.99. This will include the Super Armour in-game armour set, The Art of MediEvil digital art book, a Digital comic book, the original soundtrack, and a PS4 dynamic theme. Not bad for just £10 extra.
As the pre-order page notes, the release is only 168 days away from the time of writing! Will you be securing your pre-order of MediEvil today? Rescue the kingdom of Gallowmere in the comments below.

Cool - still no Shakedown Hawaii though...
That’s a very good price, I’m glad these remakes are all quite cheap. If you ignore the Digital Deluxe versions, that is.
That's a fantastic price point, Nintendo take note with your straight up ports at £50. I was going to get this anyway but it's a no brainer now
Any word on a physical version?
@KALofKRYPTON i understand from devs on twitter its coming next week now. Because Sony Europe...
The price is right, but it doesn't look very good.
@Dellybelly They can throw up a pre-order instantly for this, yet Shakedown Hawaii - that has already been released in every other region STILL isn't there!
@Rob_230 of course!
@get2sammyb It looks like MediEvil. MediEvil wasn't very good but well liked enough.
Keep the hype-train rolling though - I'm holding our for a Nightmare Creatures remake!
I never played the original and I didn’t really have much interest in the remake, but now at least they have my attention. Probably will still just wait for reviews.
Awesome! I'm loving this trend of 30 to 40 dollar games. I just got Saints Row for switch for 40, Team Sonic Racing for 40, and I'll probably get this and World War Z soon too, which are both going to be 40 dollars and under. I don't think I've purchased a 60 dollar game since last year!
@get2sammyb the price is right.but sir Daniel fortesque is still more talented than Taylor Swift👍😳🙊.haha.word up son
@Dellybelly It's Sony. VBlank is on point. As I say, other region PS Stores have it listed, other platforms have it listed and the limited Physical release has long sold out. PS Blog had it slated for this week too.
Nintendo needs to take notes on pricing.
That's what I'm talking about Sony ✌🏽
Not a bad price point. They have a lot of time to polish things up for release.
No physical? That's disappointing, if so...
The price is right, but I want a box and disc.
Just like every other game in the series...
I'll wait until I can pre-order a physical copy at £25 or lower.
Great price for what it is but looked a bit rough in the stream. This is type of game that'll be on plus eventually so will wait for that. Hope it reviews well!
Sure I’ll get this, the game looks fun. I hope sony make steelbook version though, I like buying steelbook version for rpg and normal 10-20 hour games (like uncharted series).
You hear that, Nintendo? A remake - not only a port - for 29,99. Take note.
Good price but having never played a Medievil before I wanted to see what all the fuss was about...and I still don't know cuz the game looks pretty dull.Dissapointing.
Ninty won't change anything. If fans are happy to throw money at them because of nostalgia, ignoring how ridiculous the price point is, they have no reason to take note.
I wish Maximo would get a remake like this. Both games have a similar feel and setting, but I like the gameplay of Maximo way better.
@KalofKRYPTON ...not an isolated situation with Shakedown Hawaii either. EU/AU psn release of Battle Princess Madelyn has been in limbo for months. Came out on ps4 US/JP, Switch, Xbone & Steam worldwide late Dec. 2018!😨
Devs taken feedback & made gameplay improvements/fixes but still can't get an EU/AU release window...really wish someone would put the spotlight on the EU store as they're losing sales to rival formats like switch due to their slackness.
As for Maximo games, yeah I'd even settle for capcom putting Maximo & Army of Zin on the ps 2 classics ps4 emulator...if it was resident evil they'd probably would have already!!😆
@Dellybelly @naruball Yeah, you’re right though. That’s the sad truth.
Think a few people are rathe salty about Nintendo and their “ports”....
Good price for this and tempted. Hopefully physical it’ll be similar day one if so.
@Robocod still waiting for Pato Box too, although the devs told me on twitter that was because PEGI fees were too high to justify the cost at the moment
@Th3solution i've played the original ps1 demo and it's not a bad game, not sure i would buy this day 1 though.
@Rob_230. Only had a quick google as hadn't been following that one. Yeah all the devs on BPM have been able to say is that they're awaiting on a date from Sony EU but it sounds like they've been by far the hardest store region they've had to deal with.
Coupled with Shakedown Hawaii's dev Vblank saying he'd been emailing Playstation Europe non stop just prior to its release everywhere else it seems to be a constant trend of PSN EU/AU being a pain to deal with, esp. for smaller devs.
When the same games release on the likes of XB/Switch when they have to deal with the same regional/classification issues, it points to an issue with the EU division. If they want ps5 to gain indie traction next gen, they'll need to fix it.
@Kalofkryoton a nightmare creatures remake could be great, would probably be a bit souls like.
@get2sammyb no it doesnt, i was hoping it would be, but looks kinda bad....
