Man of Medan, Supermassive Games' follow-up to Until Dawn, is looking pretty good, with a similarly decision-driven narrative and a creepy nautical setting. Publisher Bandai Namco has just announced the release date too, as well as introduced an incentive to pre-order.
The game, which is the first part of the studio's Dark Pictures Anthology, will arrive on PS4 on 30th August 2019. The date appears at the end of the new trailer, along with details of the Curator's Cut. Those who pre-order (physically or digitally) will gain day one access to the Curator's Cut, which is an alternate version of the story. Unlocked after beating the game once, you'll get alternative viewpoints on previously played sections. There will also be new decisions and pathways to explore, and new scenes to discover that you won't find in the regular play through.
Sounds like a neat way of extending the game. In case you're wondering, the Curator's Cut will be made available to everyone for free later down the line; pre-orders just get it early. Are you excited to play Man of Medan on PS4? What do you think of the Curator's Cut? Make a decision in the comments below.

Really looking forward to this
oh yess.. where is it in PS Store ? i don't see it now. Until Dawn is amazing game ever i played and it is most creepy game ever i played
I don't see it on the ps stores, theyre lying.
Can't wait for this.
Possibly my most anticipated game of this year. I love what they did with Until Dawn and an anthology series with the same kind of DNA should be perfect.
I have not watched anything on this game but it's a definate day one.Until Dawn was one of the best horror games of the year.I must of played it about 6 times just to get that Platinum.
But I really hope this is more than just a few hours playtime..
@hulkie i think it up in Europe psn store now
@TheLastOfUs2 still don't see it,i type it in even.
@hulkie same here but i guess not.. they might be very slow to update in PS Store on all countries now . i don't see it in Steam store and Xbox store for pre-order either..
but here is link : https://www.gamestop.com/ps4/games/dark-pictures-man-of-medan/170150
you can pre-order this in Gamestop website but i don't buy games on disc anymore because i prefer digital on all games i pre-order in PS Store
That's a pretty good way to do a preorder bonus. Give them access to some special extra content straight away, and eventually let everyone be able to enjoy it.
Finally, a release date! Will be pre-ordering as soon as it pops up on the digital store. I cannot wait to play this game and I know that I will want to replay it with the Curator's Cut.
Why are several sites saying preorders are live on the ps stores, when they are clearly not?
@hulkie yeah alot sites said that but Steam, Xbox store and PS Store didn't update it for pre-order but Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop already updated it for pre-order on physical disc. i think they forgot about it
@TheLastOfUs2 Those 3 sites you mentioned have had it for preorder for months now.
@hulkie you mean Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop ?? if yes then i think they probably update release date for Man of Medan while they had it for pre-order now
