Bethesda hosted The Elder Scrolls 25th Anniversary Celebration panel at PAX East yesterday, and as part of proceedings, director and executive of the company Todd Howard stated that The Elder Scrolls VI and new IP Starfield won't be a part of Bethesda's E3 2019 press conference.
While celebrating the past, present, and future of The Elder Scrolls, Todd Howard said: "Before everyone asks, please be patient. Itโs going to be a long time. Itโs not something weโre going to be talking about at E3, either of those games, this year. And so patience, please, but you know, given the anniversary, we did want to give everybody a tasteโฆ"
It's an interesting statement to make because it begs the question, what will be shown at Bethesda's keynote? It has already been confirmed that Doom Eternal will play a large part in the presentation along with "much, much more". So, what is that more now that it is confirmed that the company's heaviest hitters won't be there? Wolfenstein III? A new Dishonored title? Nevertheless, there are only a couple of months to go until we find out.

Well obviously. Those games are at least 2 plus years away.
Evil Within 3, obviously!
@kyleforrester87 That's what I want!
did not expect anything about TES 6 since it is just to far away.
starfield is a next gen game which makes it impossible for that game to come out before 2020,so TES 6 would be around 2022 at the earliest. and i don't see TES 6 releasing in 2021 just 1 year after starfield IF starfield even comes out in 2020.
i know that lot's of studios announce games rather early in comparison to their release dates (sony aswell) but bethesda not realy.
@LiamCroft dare to dream!
Everything is winding down in preparation of the next gen. It's the early phase of the calm before the storm. Nobody's too keen on revealing anything that's ment to be played on machines that haven't even been revealed yet.
Elder Scrolls: Blades will probably take up half the presentation... Y'know that wonderful little mobile game that's totally not filled with greedy microstransactions like opening chests for like five, ten or thirty one bucks a pop depending on the chest rarity...
...oh wait... ๐
They didn't say they wouldn't be there. They said they won't be talking about them. Expect a slightly expanded trailer for ES6 that tells us nothing.
Fallout 76 dlcs will be there.
I canโt wait for the next Doom and I would
love The Evil Within 3.
Then why are they wasting time and money with a conference? Just show DOOM Eternal at Xbox's showcase or throw up a digital presentation. No wonder Bethesda needs to sell $5 hairdos in Fallout 76 when they keep wasting money on this unnecessary stuff.
They'll skip this Gen too!
Can't wait for him to get on stage and joke about how their games don't work again ๐
@PS_Nation the evil within 3 would be fantastic !
evil within 3.๐๐๐๐word up son
@carlos82 It used to be funny, then Fallout 76 happened...
I will be extremely disappointed if Evil Within 3 ISANT announced.Loved the first one but the sequel was amazing!
Bethesda E3 2019: bank on 10-15 minutes of fluff about Fallout 76's "massive user numbers and forthcoming DLC's" meant to bankroll development of the next mainline game in the series. Oh goodie goodie ๐
Is this how 'it just works', Todd Howard?
Prediction
Wolfenstein 3
Dishonored 3 new protagonist
Doom Eternal
Perhaps Prey 2
New Ip
Rage 2 expansion DLC
And Yes more Fallout 76 LOL
@jdv95 Indeed my friend, indeed.
The Evil Within 2 is one of my favorite games this generation, the first game is great as well.
Canโt complain about the developers being
published by Bethesda, they delivered many great games recently: The Evil Within, Wolfenstein, Doom, Prey and Dishonored.
@Turismo4GT Brat Howard is a lilโ kid, I still remember him crying about crossplay and how Sony was the boogeyman, then he said there are no plans for crossplay in Fallout 76.
Never change, Brat Howard.
They should have just bullshot the hell out of this e3 with scenes of grandeur and epicness for ES6. Its the money maker and they have had a BAD year. Really a mistake to even announce either game imo. They had too...to keep everyone invested. After 76 Id imagine a LOT of faith is lost
Ouch, after 76 they needed to go big this E3 or go home.
So why mention it last e3 just to show nothing this e3, quite stupid.
@Salt_AU Because they mentioned it last e3, don't tell people about it early then, its pretty simple. "Upgraded Engine" I guess we wont see any bugs then? Won't hold my breath.
Not ready yet next gen games.
Last of us two appears and is out the following week! I can dream.
Not surprising really...no sony no PS5 and no way will those 2 games be on PS4
Hmm...well, after Fallout 76 I don't think they should rush release anything else to be honest; so probably the right decision.
"Does this news disappoint you?"
After Fallout 76, the bar for disappointment has been reset significantly. Also, I don't care about dev Bethesda since that debacle anymore.
