The Division 2's latest update, patch 1.03, brings with it multiple fixes to issues concerning missions and weapons on PS4. As well as that, XP rewards for endgame activities have been better adjusted to scale to the player's level.
Here are the full patch notes for the 1.03 update where the PS4 is concerned:
Weapons
- We removed a work in progress weapon that was not properly named and balanced.
- Crossbows now deal explosive damage to multiple objects as intended
- Exotic weapons equipped with silencers will now produce the sound they’re intended to make.
- NPCs engaged in combat will now react to grenades as intended.
Missions
- The ropes will now deploy properly to allow for extraction at the end of the Beekeeper Jeff side mission.
- Players should no longer be able to unlock Castle prematurely. This issue would block progression in some instances.
- Fixed a loot exploit that involved repeatedly killing bosses in some Invaded missions.
- In Jefferson Plaza, the NPC scene can no longer be interrupted during a boss fight.
Other
- Weapons skins will no longer disappear if attached to a weapon and sold to a vendor.
- Stopped "SHD CPU V.2" and "Cyclone Magazine" skill mods from dropping as loot. Player's who already have the items can use them once they unlock the corresponding specialization perk.
- Players will no longer get stuck on black screens after watching introduction cinematics.
- We have updated XP rewards for all end game activities, so that they will scale to the player’s level, instead of being flat values.
- Several corrupted audio issues have been fixed.

I'm going to lose so many hours to this game...
@Splat Same. Just waiting for Amazon to send my copy.
Did this patch fix the frame rate problems some people were having?
@Nightcrawler71 I'm 15 hours in and haven't had any frame rate issues. It has crashed a few times tho.
@Splat Damn you're getting the hours in! My local supermarket which I planned to get it from didn't have it this morning. I've ended up having to get it from Amazon same day delivery so going to have to wait until after 6 to even start the download. Still it will probably take me all weekend to get that many hours in.
@Splat Did you have to do a 90GB download like stated? My brother has just started installing and his only says 44GB.
@BearsEatBeets That's strange.
I bought the gold edition, so i'm playing since wednesday, and yes, it was a 90GB download.
@LowTech Just checked with my bro again, he said update it's downloading update 1.03 which comes in at 44.898GB. This new update must replace the original one and somehow they have managed to make it more efficient than the earlier 'day one' update.
Thanks for replying though.
@LiamCroft @ShogunRok Have you guys noticed with this update, if you brought a physical copy of the game today the initial update download is only 48-52 GB as opposed to the earlier 90GB. It still ends up taking that much hard drive but you only download roughly half of it.
@BearsEatBeets Hmmm, that's interesting. I wonder what changed.
@ShogunRok It's all very strange, still find it odd the PS4 version is almost twice the size of the Xbox/PC one. It works out well for me though, should save me a fair chunk of time when the game arrives later.
I have the physical/disc copy of the game, and with the with all the patches (so far) it has a combined hard drive footprint of 89.95gb.
@BearsEatBeets I have had it since Tuesday that's why I have so many hours in so far. I have the digital version and it's a total of 91 GB's so far.
@Splat yeah stupid me should have realised you could have had it for a few days. I have it downloading now so will I start it tomorrow.
