Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
10 ouf of 10 so far. I haven't finished yet, but it's an incredible game so far. One that really makes me feel and act like a shinobi. I personally think the game is underrated so far. I didn't read the whole thing yet, but I was surprised to see a measly 8 out of 10 on this site.
@Jaz007 I agree with you playa. this game is a 10 out out 10. what was pushsquare thinking giving this game a 8.maybe pushsquare was pushing x at sekiro😁.word up son
Yeah, Lady Butterfly is kicking my ass but I feel like I can get there. I wouldn’t say it’s harder than my first play through of Dark Souls 1 though. 2 was a cakewalk but 1... damn Ornstein and Smough took me ages but after that I didn’t have that much difficulty with the rest, including Gwyn.
I'd say 9 so far but I'm still very early on (and struggling a lot!). Whether it's an 8, 9 or a 10 it's another From Software hit for sure. And as is typical, it's bloody hard!
Love the setting, story is interesting but my god the combat is terrible. I found it pretty difficult at first but once it clicked the game is now just boring to play. Easily my least favourite From game, 6/10 though my verdict is nothing to go by as I really like Souls 2.
@smythelove It's all about understanding and mastering the combat — the only problem is that you're going to get your arse kicked while learning. Definitely not impossible, but still very difficult and very unforgiving.
I'm waiting for the price to drop, as I've not had good experiences with From Software games in the past. With that said, I'm definitely going to give it a go at some point.
@ShogunRok Sekiro is more than a great game. This is one of the best offerings for on PS4. Sure 8 is a pretty good score, but this is more than pretty good or just great. It’s a GOTY candidate so far. 8/10 being a GOTY isn’t a very good year. Not because 8/10 is bad, but because a real GOTY candidate is something special. (I say real because let’s not pretend Oddesy had a chance against 10/10s like GoW and RDR2)
@ShogunRok Yeah that kind of sound like masochism lol! Man idk someday hope they bring it to plus. I’m older and inpatient but the setting intrigues me. I might also break my controller lol!
I'm more of a letter grade kinda guy, but I'd go for an 8/10. Terrific game. Doesn't quite hit the masterpiece mark for me yet. I very rarely dish out 9's and 10's anyway, and it's got to take something truly special and mind-blowing for that happen.
Great game. Even more so when the combat clicks. Loving the movement and traversal with the grappling hook. Reminds me of Tenchu with a SoulsBorne lick.
I'm only at the Guardian Ape, so 7/10 so far for me. It's good, but it hasn't really got its hooks in me yet. It's not something I can't put down, but I enjoy it when I want to play it, for the most part...
@Kidfried Me too! I don't usually transition back to old, discarded avatars, but I never really felt right moving away from Junko and her charmingly creepy visage years ago.
The setting is very nice and I was surprised how different their settings can get just in Japan, though I suspect the divine realm is more inspired by china than Japan. There aren't very many bosses in the game which was disappointing, but the kite missile guy easily pushed the game up to a ten for me. Without him, I'd give it a nine.
The game is simply phenomenal, and it's hard as hell. This is coming from a guy who has platinumed Bloodborne. The only thing I wish was better was the OST, especially during boss fights.
Ha, Ive been playing Tenchu Z instead. Ive not tried this game yet, I was a bit disappointed when digital foundry showed the PS4 version has the familiar From Software frame pacing problem. The 'judder' actually really bothered me in Dark Souls 3, I dont mind 30fps, as long as it updates correctly...
Solid 9. Great atmosphere, level design, and combat. Camera sometimes sucks. Games can't, and should not, cater to everyone. If it's too hard and you don't want to put in time to learn attack patterns refund it and move on with your life.
It's 9 out of 10 I think, the gameplay is great, its just sometimes its boring replaying the same area over and over again after I'm defeated by enemies. Thankfully, there are many save point so it's not like bloodborne where the first save point is guarded by boss lol, I'm not a fan of dragon rot system though.

@playstation1995 @Jaz007 Come on lads, don't make me wheel out the "8/10 is a great score, you absolute madmen" reply.
9/10 game for me. It feels more difficult than any other From Software games I played before. That Genichiro boss fight is doing my head in.

8 out of 10 is about right for me so far. A very good game, wouldn't call it perfect but also a highlight.
5 out of 10; Not the Knack sequel I was hoping for, but good try.
I’m scared to play it because I got my a@@ kicker at blood borne. It looks like a lot of fun but one of those rage quit games.
@ShogunRok Is it impossible or does it take a ton of practice and patience to get through?

@Octane Cerny is on it I'm sure with PS5 reveal just around the corner.

Is this game harder than nioh? I really struggled on the bosses
@Gunners85 yeah the nioh bosses convinced me I'm not mentally strong enough for these sort of games...
@Octane
@fuzzy833 👍😂
@Athrum exactly where I am. I had to walk away on Tuesday and collect myself... tonight... I return for vengeance.
I havent played Sekiro yet but i would assume its harder than DS and BB because it doesnt have mp.
Want to get, but afraid to dip in
@Ralizah Love your new display pic! <3

@Bliquid
Must admit I did notice that detail as well. Bit of an oversight but I'm still loving it.
Haven't bought it yet, have beaten every Souls game, from Demon's Souls to BloodBorne, so I'm pretty sure I'll love this one as well.

Glad to see you sticking with Aoi.
Who vote 1/10? Bet they're great at parties...

I haven't played it yet but have watched my nephew play it a bit. Looks great but think my patience would be tested with it.

Haven't played a ton of it yet, it's very good so far. I'm doubtful I'll like it more than Bloodborne though...
9/10, very hard to me right now... but I like the challenge so far!

Amazing 9.
Once you get the hand of it, it is almost impossible to pit down. So glad the weekend is here 😀

Its a solid 9/10 for me. It is very hard, but fair. Taking the time to learn enemies moves and finally beating them is super satisfying.
