My Time at Portia, the role-playing life simulator that received a fairly positive critical reception on PC earlier this year, is coming to PS4 next month. The console version is set to launch on 16th april with a physical version available from select retailers, and you can get a taste of the action that awaits you in the new trailer above.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, My Time at Portia serves up crafting, combat, building, crops to grow, animals to raise, and townspeople to befriend. "Arriving in the enchanting town of Portia, you’ll be able to start a new life and set to work restoring your Pa's neglected workshop to its former glory. Armed with your Pa's workshop handbook and workbench, you must gather mine and craft your way to being crowned the number one workshop in the whole of Portia!"
Eager players who place a pre-order will gain access to the Housewarming Gift Set, which will include:
- An Exclusive Outfit - Jacket and ripped jeans
- Exclusive Furniture - Lion with Wings Statue and the Cuckoo Station Clock
- Consumable Items - Rainbow Jelly and Dried Beef
- Bag of Gold - 500 Gols to spend and get you started

Cool. Sadly, it won't sell as good as on Switch. But I've nevertheless preordered the PS4 version. Better graphics, smoother gameplay, trophies > portability for me.
How does this compare to stardew valley?
@Bioth Think Stardew Valley only fully 3D and with more RPG elements like fighting monsters and exploring. I don't know if it's as well liked as Stardew Valley but that's the gist of it.
@ShogunRok thanks, I'll check it out
@ShogunRok So more Rune Factory-ish? Side note: I wonder if there is any chance that Rune Factory 4 and 5 will get ported to PS4 since they are coming to Switch.
@Number_6 Kind of, yeah. Worth noting that there are plenty of gameplay videos on YouTube taken from the PC version if you want to see it in action.
There is also a playable demo available on Steam that also runs on older PCs if you tune the settings down to get a glimpse of the gameplay.
@ShogunRok i want know if you like it or not
@ResidentEvil2 We should have a review for it next month (although I won't be writing it).
