Sony’s been inviting European media outlets to the wedding of Deacon and Sarah from Days Gone, which will be held on 13th February – on YouTube, apparently. Obviously this is a Valentine’s Day-themed marketing stunt, which is probably going to conclude in some kind of story trailer. It’s safe to assume from what we know thus far that Mrs St John will be pushing daisies during the game – perhaps literally if she’s already turned.
There’s really not a whole lot we can infer from this just yet, but we get the sense that the marketing machine is in full effect for Bend’s open world adventure now. We sure hope there’s cake at this wedding…

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend. I hope the St. Johns have a wonderful time on their special day <3
could this game be an exclusive flop? There just doesn't seem to be much hype about it
@Tha_Likely_Lad
nah.
sure it won't be the next GOW and spiderman but it will still perform well enough to call it a success.
it may have the lower sales compared to all the other exclusives this gen but that hardly is a bad number when you take into consideration that most of our exclusives reached milestone sale numbers in record time.
@Tha_Likely_Lad youre an exclusive flop
@Mikethemosher lol cheers mate. Not hating on the game i just get the sense it wont sell that well. Personally i think it looks good
Thanks Sony for reminding me I'm single
@Tha_Likely_Lad We're late into this generation, so I think it's bound to have a big audience. This is especially true for open world games. If Days Gone is bad for the most part, however, then it could potentially hurt sales in the long run. I get you though, seeing people not talk about a certain title coming up is always a little worrying.
It's getting good views on this site and the trailers are getting quite a lot of views on YouTube. I'm sure it'll perform within expectations.
The recent trailer looked better than the trailer from last year and the year before. So that's a good sign.
I think we sometimes forget that a massive amount of console owners don't follow gaming to the same extent we do. If Sony can get the marketing right for this, like they did for recent titles, and really back it, I think it could do really well.
It needs to be a solid game to sustain it of course.
My most anticipated game of the year. Yes, right up there with TLOU2, regardless of whether or not TLOU2 arrives this year.
This strikes me as a kind of The Last Of Us theme with some Uncharted run-and-gun gameplay, with stealth options. As far as I'm concerned, it can't possibly be bad.
@Tha_Likely_Lad
I couldn't care less tbh. As long as its enough for a sequel.
@Kidfried
I predict some people will be 'disappointed' because it didn't sell 2+ million copies in the first week
@get2sammyb that should be Sammy and Taylor Swift for Valentine's day invite😳.haha word up son
@Tha_Likely_Lad doesn't sell well is not a flop.its how great a game is playa.i guarantee you this game will get good reviews.meta 88 89.word up son
I see a lot of pessimism on here but a lot of optimism on Reddit.
For whatever reason, I thought this game was going to release last fall and was so hyped. Then the Feb date is announced and I’m slightly disappointed but think it’s not to far off. Then, it’s freaking delayed to the end of April.
Why is it being marketed now? The release is over 2 months away. Have you guys noticed Sony doing this in the past? They’ll market a game months before its release, but drastically cut back on the month of release. Boggles the mind.
@Tha_Likely_Lad Keep in mind that plenty of games that don't have much hype online (at least in places where more hardcore gamers post) do well, whereas others that get a lot of attention don't do anywhere near as well. Most anime games are a prime example of the latter.
All I see is more and more people starting to love the game with each release of a video going by the comments I see.
It will be a sleeper hit in the sense that people who are downplaying it will be shocked with how well it will do.
Can't wait to see another trailer on Feb 13, seems like it could be our story trailer.
@Tha_Likely_Lad I mean horizon didn’t really have a lot of hype behind it before it’s release and it sold well. If days gone is a good game that reviews well people will buy it if not people won’t simple as that.
She's gonna die in the first hour of the game, isn't she?
