Do you think the developers of Jupiter & Mars like Ecco the Dolphin? We’re going to assume yes, as this upcoming PlayStation 4 title with optional PlayStation VR support seems to have a similar vibe to the SEGA classic. It’s set on a future Earth submerged in water, and you play as a pair of dolphins, using Echolocation to navigate the world.
“Use enhanced Echolocation powers to see what lies beneath the surface,” the game description reads. “Pierce through the murky underwater mystery with a dolphin’s sonar-like capabilities. Use your partner Mars’ Ram ability to get yourself out of tight spots, to bust open a wall, or to pop that oyster shell open and discover hidden secrets throughout the game.”
The release will surface in Spring 2019, and may be one to keep a beady eye on.

I still love the first Ecco game but man it was hard. Amazing soundtrack for a Mega Drive. Even hold up to this day.

Screw Ecco the Dolphin! All our parents bought us that instead of good games like Desert Strike, Streets of Rage, or whatever, because that bastard was so cute and friendly. Turns out, that game is hard as nails, and no one I knew got past the first freaking level.
As much as Iike PSVR I'm pretty sure I'd be nauseous in under 2 minutes in there.
I did like Ecco on Dreamcast though so count me in for the non-PSVR version.

I'd love a new Ecco game, but not sure about this. The environments look very...bland I guess? A modern Ecco game could be so, so good though, so fingers crossed.
