A whopping 80 per cent of Resident Evil 2 players started their journey in Raccoon City with Leon Kennedy, statistics from the series’ official website have revealed. Capcom’s scarily deep stat-tracking site reveals that thus far the campaign has been completed 500k times with the floppy-haired rookie cop, while Claire Redfield’s story has been beaten 332k thus far.
Since its release on Friday, fans have spent over 1,000 years fending off the undead, taking enough steps to walk to Venus and killing enough zombies to fill the entirety of Japan. I picked Leon first because his interplay with Ada is far more intriguing to me than anything going on in Claire's story. Claire's still cool though.
I was disappointed GOW was short but this game is still 7hrs from '98. I don't think I'm interested in a 7hr remake in 2019.
@TheArt It's designed to be replayed. Also God of War is like 30 hours long for the story alone...
Gladly I won some extra euros so I decided to get this...I have it downloaded but couldn't play it yesterday, but I'll start today and OBVIOUSLY I'll pick Leon lol couldn't be any other way

@get2sammyb After coming from spending 2 months on RDR2, GoW will definitely seem short. I remember Horizon being almost as long as the former though.
I like it when you can check out all of these crazy stats for games from the players.
I picked Leon first because I heard he had access to a shotgun, and that his campaign was slightly easier than Claire's. Figured it made sense to do the harder play-through second.

@Doctor_BK In comparison to many games yes it's far from short but to RPG and open world guys like me... Maybe I should say the story was too short and simple or they should've added 50hrs of text like Persona 5 😂😂 I dunno.
I chose Leon first as i wanted to start with a police investigation first, and Ada Wong sooner rather than later is nice.
I started with Claire just like I did back in 98, looking forward to starting scenario B with Leon then restarting again 😄

@RedMan33 Same here. I chose Leon the first time playing the original then realizing he had less slots. So after that I almost always chose Claire first, then Leon for scenario B. It feels almost wrong to change the recipe now.
@TheArt Lol, I guess if you're used to Persona 5-lengthed games then I understand why you thought it was short.

@nessisonett You know, Persona 5 is even more linear than GoW or most games but it's about the longest PS4 game ever.
@Doctor_BK And I never fast-travel. I do almost all side quests in any game before continuing the main quest.
is leon the top, default option? that would give him a huge bias. they should've randomized the top, default option to get better results.
I like when we can see these sort of stats about games. It would be cool if they added stuff like this to games at the system level. A bit like the choice comparison things in the telltale games but more in-depth.
