Firewall Zero Hour is a well liked tactical shooter for PSVR, but somewhat suffers from a relatively low number of players. As with any online multiplayer FPS, it lives or dies on its player base, and with only a fraction of the PS4's audience also owning Sony's virtual reality head gear, it was always going to be an uphill battle for Firewall. However, some good news is that PS Plus members will gain free access to the title this coming weekend.
In an update on the PlayStation Blog, Sony has announced that you'll be able to try the game for no extra charge between 18th and 20th January, as long as you have an active subscription to PS Plus. Those who take advantage of the trial will have access to the entire game, including all its modes and maps. Also, any XP or Crypto you earn during the trial will carry over if you decide to purchase the game.
Will you be giving Firewall Zero Hour a shot this weekend? Plan your strats in the comments below.

I don't have the PSVR Aim Controller thingamajig, but I'll give this a try anyway.
Sorry Stephen but I've played this regularly since it came out and it's always had a thriving community who are the stars of the game tbh.Ive always hated online games and there toxicity, stopped playing them a good few years back and I've found this community the most helpful, welcoming and generally good natured lot I've come across and I've been gaming since the late 80s so I've met a few!The games problems are it needs maybe another mode and best out of 3 or 5 instead of single rounds to stop all the hanging about waiting to play.Its had a few connectivity problems since release but apart from that there's always people playing and it's the most fun I've ever had in a shooter(vr and the aim controller take immersiveness to another level)If you can give it a shot you won't regret it!
@Quintumply
Is the aim controller required to play this game or can you just play with PS4 controller??
Just posted this on the blog in regards to game trial weekends-
I wish these trials were available during the week. I am busiest at work and with family commitments weekends so I never get to try them.
VR with the whole camera and setup is so difficult if kids are around. I find weekdays are an ideal quiet time for me to get a few hours in.
@NYJetsfan123 You can use either.
@ROTTIEMAN I'll definitely be giving it a go!
i don't have a aim controller so no can do, not interested in online mp anyway but it's cool that sony are trialling a VR game though.
@huyi You can play it with the dual shock but once you do you'll want to go out & buy the Aim controller ASAP.
Seriously, expect a run on Aim controllers this weekend.
@ROTTIEMAN Agreed.
There are still a few players who aren't communicating & that sucks bad.
But overall, Firewall is one of the best VR games ever made.
@SirRealDeal i wouldn't stand a chance against other people using the aim controller lol
@SirRealDeal it took over my gaming hours for several months and the feeling of leaning your gun on something to aim or killing someone blind firing round a corner are some of my best moments in Vr.In two years of owning psvr and buying most games what with re7,the persistence, wipeout, astrobot and superhot,firewall sits there at the top of the tree and has probably been my most played game.Firewall and vr takes shooters to another level and I think it's the future of gaming
@ROTTIEMAN I've noticed that with games that have technical limitations, the communities are much more positive. They largely consist of the types of people that are open to enjoying an imperfect experience, and are optimistic about the future of the product. Fallout 76 community is the same way. Being a positive person is practically a prerequisite to appreciate that game in its current state. I bet many online VR games are like this, due to the type of personality attracted to the VR market in its early state.
Really glad there is a demo. Been curious to check this out. Will try to get my brother to check it out too.
Awesome! I really want thus game but at slmost $50 (CAN) its a bit more than im willing to spend.
Is the game any good to play with move controllers? I can't wrap my head around it but I still wanted to try
Downloading it now and looking forward to trying this online.
