Another big update for Assassin's Creed Odyssey has landed on PlayStation 4, further improving Ubisoft's already impressive open world adventure. Patch 1.12 weighs in at just over 4GB on Sony's system.
The highlights here are the additions of enemy scaling options and two new mercenary tiers. New mastery perks have also been added alongside new engravings, and, of course, support for the second episode of The Legacy of the First Blade, which launches next week. What's more, the experience needed to level up at level 70 has been reduced.
A bunch of smaller fixes are included in the update as well, so if you want all the details, be sure to give the official forum post a read.
Good stuff from Ubisoft once again, but are you still playing Odyssey? Conquer those new mercenaries in the comments section below.

ubisoft can be a questionable company at times but i do like their after launch support on a SP game.
that is awesome.
enemy scaling sweet i might actually get it now because i HATED the fact you would hit virtual walls in Origins because you wasn't an high enough level and the main missions never gave you enough EXP
108 hours and counting.
Still carving my way to the campaign. I love the game and its gameplay despite being veeeeeery long
I'm really looking forward to buying this next and getting stuck deep into it after I've finished DQXI.
I was really excited for this and I've only just started playing but I like origins a lot more. I dunno if it was the setting or what but hopefully the more I play the better it will get?
Also helix credit prices are a piss take.
they reduce the grind needed to hit level 70 after i reached that point, bravo ubisoft, urgh.
@Splat 87 hours and counting here. Still not bored.
This game was amazing, I would play it more but i'm stuck at Medusa. The save point is the cutscene before her and I just cannot defeat her at all. I've read guides and they say to use lots of arrows but i just keep getting slaughtered... Can't back out of it and get to the main world again either
Playing it still, but it has crashed 3 times since this update
I was hoping they may have addressed the issue with continuing to play chapter 8 as the next quest never shows up but hopefully this may debug it and help if not then no idea.
@Throb
The trick is to hide behind a column in a position where you can hit her with your arrows but she can't hit you with her petrifying ray, and dodge and run around for all other attacks while always shooting arrows. It requires a lot of time and a lot of arrows.
Be patient and you'll make it
If you think you are under-leveled you can go in the pause menu and select the option to abandon the mission. it should reset your progress in the quest and you can come back to it later with a higher level and a better bow
@DanM I can't do it at all, I don't get a chance to aim a bow because of these other creatures attacking me. If I attack them, I just get slaughtered because I turn to stone... Whereabouts is the 'Abandon Mission' option, I can't find it and it just keeps returning me to the cutscene before the fight
@Throb yeah those other monsters are annoying, but you should be able to fight them without moving too far from behind the columns and so avoid being turned into stone.
As for the option to quit the mission, it should be in the pause menu, in the same place where you find the "exit game" or "quit game" option. I can't tell you exactly because I haven't been playing AC Odyssey in a while, but I'm pretty sure it's there, I've never used it but I saw it a lot whenever I quit the game while playing a mission...
